Probably a question I will have to take up with dealership I ordered my truck from, but Eighty early forecast has delivery of my truck in Nov. If that ends up being true, I will be in Europe for the whole month of Nov (every year the wife and I go to Europe for 2 weeks, but since we missed it last year, we are doing a whole month this year). My deposit acknowledgement form states:

"...non-refundable deposit that is intended to take VIN# XXXX off the market until it arrives at dealership. If I decide to not purchase or if I am unable to purchase said VIN, my entire deposit will be retained by Nyle Maxwell of Austin for remarketing expenses. During this time period, Nyle Maxwell Supercenter agrees not to retail or wholesale said VIN on or before this date listed above. If I do not purchase said VIN by the time listed above, I will forfeit my entire deposit."

This is my first time factory ordering a vehicle. Has anyone run across a similar situation where they ordered a vehicle and could not get to dealership by a specified date/time and had their vehicle sold and lost deposit?

l'm sure it will be just fine... they should be able to wait till you got back from europe to complete the purchase ...

Just give them your schedule. You don't have any control over when the truck will arrive at the dealership. I ordered mine from MN and have to fly down from AK to get it. They have said they will work with me since I have to schedule a flight after I know when the dealer will get it. They would be screwing you if they won't help you out. Your vehicle might get there before any of their stock orders arrive and they could probably sell it for more than you are paying for it. I know they don't want a sold vehicle on the lot very long for liability reasons so their policy on that is usually pretty tight. Usually a couple of weeks is doable, maybe more if you add some more earnest money.
I don't know when you ordered it, but, October is pretty optimistic for any of the 2022s. Hopefully I am wrong on that.

Talked with dealer today and of course no change to status. They told me they are hearing pretty specifically that 9/1 is the planned date for 1500's. He also said my build has not changed (Bighorn BackCountry with Technology Group & Blind Spot). He also said he doesn't not anticipate it changing based on what they hear. He went into his order system while we were talking and said he can still order Bighorn with Tech and Blind Spot today. Not sure that really matters but offers a little comfort anyway!

I reached out to MD to see what they know. Only thing on the Rebel list for me is the Rebel 12A package. They can upgrade me to the HK system if that's the route they are going. I'll let you all know what they say.

On a separate note, when I talked to RAM Chat on Monday they said something about somebody reaching out to me with my order status. Then yesterday I got an email from customer support with this:

My name is **** and I will be monitoring your vehicle order throughout the build process. I have opened this special tracking file to both help ensure your order is given prioritization through to delivery, as well as to provide you with available status updates along the way.
At this present time, your vehicle is being sequenced for production with all the parts necessary to begin building your order either being scheduled or gathered.
I have reached out to our factory resources to both ensure your order has been prioritized for production as well as to further gather an estimated production plan timing to share further with you. I hope to have further news and updates to provide soon.
I will be following up with you for your order updates as soon as there are additional updates to share on your order. Additional email responses received will be queued and responded to within this time-frame only. If you require immediate assistance pertaining to any ordering questions or concerns, we encourage you to speak with your ordering dealership who is your best resource for any ordering questions you may have related to your factory order.

Anybody else get anything like this?
I just got the same exact email. Name I received was Jeff. Seems like a generic/automated message and not sure it’ll actually do anything. I saw a few others say the got the same message but no movement for weeks.

Great news! I heard from Sandy at MD earlier today. She called to let me know that my 2022 Limited has quickly moved to F Status (paint) so hopefully it'll be completed soon! She said she'd call again once it was on the train and she had an estimated delivery date. After that I woke up in a cold sweat half an hour before my alarm went off and realized it was all just a dream. 🤭

@Eighty and @Triple B , please remove this person's VIN from any tracking. We can't have this kind of nonsense in here. LOL

So, not sure if it necessarily means Ram will follow suit, but I just got an email from Ford letting me know that they've brought back 0% financing for 72 months on all new F150's. Not sure if they hacked Ram's order list or what, but it was an odd email to get. But, maybe this means that Ram will have some reasonably good specials/incentives for those of us who've ordered and had to put up with the wait.

I know we dont work at the dealers. but is seems like the Communication from Corporate to the dealers blows. Even ordering with aaron there were options and combinations not available to order that he had not been familiar with, from all of the anecdotal evidence on this forum it seems obvious that more often than not dealers are left holding the bag because of lack of Downstream communication from corporate, leaving dealers constantly saying the three bad words in sales ("i dont know") and that is the quickest way to anger potential buyers. At ram They make a good product, but their bedside manner needs a little work. 100% their are crap dealers out there, but alot of them just dont have the knowledge we do here that comes from collective research and trial/error.
I’m not surprised. I bought a 2019 Rebel WITH tow mirrors and that was a complete debacle, losing options left and right and no one knowing.
