Hey all! I’m new to the site so I’m not really sure where this is supposed to go but just looking for some help/insight. I have a 2021 ram 1500 ecodiesel that I bought brand new from the dealer around the beginning of may. Keep
In mind this is my daily, I drive about 140 or so all highway miles a day and I have not towed with it yet. I did the first oil change at about 8k miles and it at 13k now. It’s been a week since the check engine light has first come up. when I first start driving the car everyday, I let it idle for 2 or so minutes and drive very reasonably untill it’s up to temp. As I accelerate to highway speeds the oil temp rises very high and stays above the middle temp margin pretty much the entire time. Any ideas as to what it could be? Or if any of you have experienced a similar issue? The truck is my main transportation, is it okay to keep driving it untill my appointment on Saturday? Thanks for your time and advice!

I haven't heard of an issue like this yet. How's the oil level? Also the oil pressure while driving? Who did the oil change at 8k, dealer?

got to autozone or similar store and have them read code to get an idea of how serious it is.

Dealer did the change. The weird thing is the light keeps coming on and then stays for about a day or so and then disappears again. Only to show up again later the next day
