Well your not gonna see a grown man cry, but I might shed a tear each time 2022 orders keep getting pushed back. Maybe I should just stay away from this page until 2022 orders builds will start.

I keep seeing this "ram rep" how do I contact mine?

My dealer said they did but he also told me I had no VIN until I told him a bunch of people on this form already had theirs

Sorry I'm new here. How or where to I start a "Ram Chat"? Trying to see if our order is in. Thanks

just tried this link to see if they were also able to add or delete options and was advised that only the dealer can modify an order ...
Yeah, Ram Chat doesn’t have any actual power or authority. And to be honest, they rarely seem to even have decent information. They’re just the equivalent of customer service.

I see there's some other members that ordered earlier this summer and are just getting their VIN. These VINs seem to match up with the date the truck was ordered. Earlier order, lower VIN. I'm guessing that's what will happen when I get my VIN.

Bad news too- Technology Group was removed from my order at this time. There's a chance it could be added if parts are available when mine makes it to production. Otherwise I'm going to pay to add it after the fact when parts are available.

I haven’t heard of a dealer providing this (only modders). I wonder if it will eventually be possible to have dealers add it later, given all of the factory deletions. I doubt it, but still wondering.

I'm hoping so. Sales rep said we could have the service department add it later. I was scared to talk about the price LOL. I think new dash, windshield, CHMSL, interior mirror are what would be needed. That's assuming the connections are already in place. I've been trying to find part numbers. Maybe I'll get lucky and parts will be available before it's built. I think this is the first time they've deleted an option from the Limited.

re: CHIPS and lack of tech options. I went from a Laramie to a Limited Longhorn in order to order the tech group and asg options. I asked Mark when making the decision if the truck could be built with all the wiring so the "chip" could be added later. I got a vague "no" answer and asked again. Same answer. I honestly don't know why they don't build the truck without the "chip" so it can just be installed later. Best information I've seen is that they can't or won't do that. So far my order of 7/10 hasn't been modified-at least I haven't heard anything. Fingers crossed my order will go thru as printed.

I ordered 6/20. I really hope they do not remove the Technology Group from my order. I know its gimmicky but I feel like the mirror can be useful in several situations.

I can understand removing availability now, but hopefully those of us with sold orders don't lose anything.

Did your dealer remove this before you completed your order or did you pay your deposit then they told you it couldn't be ordered? Just hoping they don't remove options after deposit is paid and VIN has been assigned.

I just spoke with Ram chat, when I asked when 2022 Ram 1500 production starts, they told me the 2022's start production next week, the week of August 9th.

Not sure how accurate their info actually is, but if it is, that's great news!

Yeah that’s what they told me last week. I’d love to believe it. But I just can’t reconcile it with all of the reports of 2021 orders being told that their trucks are being built that week.

I asked Ram Chat earlier today and they told me corporate had not shared that info with them. I like the answer you got better!
