Building a 2022 on the NADA website, it shows there is an option for "Mopar Paint Protection Film, MSRP $765. This was not available on the 2021 nor I have I ever seen it on the Ram Build & Price tool in past years. Does anyone know anything about it?Quality film? What parts get the PPF?
Any word on what this is? I wish I had known aboit it before I ordered my limited. That seems like a really good price if its full vehicle coverage.

So doing a quick Google search this stuff doesn't appear to be nearly as durable as the good PPF. I do have some it Toyota's PPF on my 2013 Camry which is silver and it's been pretty discolored for several years now

Based on the order dates and VINs shared by fellow members, here's what I see. There appear to be a couple of oddities, leading me to believe that a few orders weren't really put in the system immediately. Seaskag in particular.
Once we start seeing Build Sheets and Window Stickers for these orders, we'll see if there's any consistency.

If there are any other users who would share their order dates and last-6 VIN digits, it will help. Monkeypunch and Teddy? Any others?

So, those of you that have ordered '22's, have you had any luck negotiating, or is it MSRP or higher?

Just found some more recent production numbers from SHAP. They're definitely not hitting their target production numbers. They made 5,315 trucks last week.

Wow...if there is a positive part of that is that their ramping it towards July.

I can see the slowness in June, just because of parts alone (chips)

Starting on July 1st, their new target production goal is 1,435/day (Saturdays are always a lower target).

I'll take this as a positive as well. On your 2022 lookahead chart you have 850 a day /AVG so anything above that means we get our trucks sooner than later.

Yeah, well, it's a pretty wild assumption. And that's also based on 7 days/week (I didn't try to break things down to just working days). So the tracking spreadsheet isn't perfect. It assumes the following:
  • 5,950 trucks a week (850/day x 7 days). Based on their new target (1,435/day x 5 days, plus something less on Saturdays), it would be a goal of around 8,000 per week.
  • Starting production on 7/26, in sequential order. Time will tell on the 7/26, and sequential order is definitely not happening (but I don't have a better way to figure it).
  • 21 calendar days from build to delivery. That's obviously a generalized assumption based on current averages.
So it's not perfect, really just more of a what-if scenario.

Perfect or not it gives me something to go on so I'll take it lol. I appreciate the time you took making this chart!

Mark Dodge is doing below invoice pricing, no negotiating required. Super happy with the price in the current market. Even in a buyers market, the price would have been comparable or better then the local dealers.

I think this is a good sales tactic. It guarantees sales if incoming trucks. No waiting needed. Plus worst case if the truck isn't sold right away, it's inventory on their lot.

And a good way to keep clients...as long as they are willing to wait.

Yeah, Lake Charles, which has a regional airport with regular flights into it from Dallas and Houston. A one way flight for me from Birmingham is only $250 - $400
