As some of you know some minor changes on the ramtrucks.com site has change.

One thing that some of you have stated is that in the bighorn trim (which I ordered), now you only have the 5.7 hemi w/ etorque only available. I placed an order without that system. Do you think that might transfer over to the 2022 models?

I won't complain if it comes with it, however i prefer it not to be there, because of my personal preference (not a true hybrid in that it doesn't run on electric).

Owner of a 2020 Ram Laramie (leveled with 2" rc struts and 1" rear spacer on 33.5" toyo open country) , 16 Dodge Charger scat pack and my wife 21 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (2.5" rc lift with 35" duratracs)

It’s interesting they let you order it but took it away on the website

Well, when most of us ordered, it was before any pricing was available, any changes to the options ( like I wanted the back country package without knowing how much details on what was in it).

I won't complain if it comes with it, I just prefer not to have it because it's not a true hybrid that really doesn't provide any major bonuses ( I've read tons of reviews and videos from engineers). I can only imagine long term, it will be pricy to fix any of those components.

Yeah I understand not knowing pricing and maybe individual features within a package, but engine options seem pretty big

Kind of reminds me of when they were first starting production of the 2020s and for the first month or two you could only get the hemi in a longhorn or limited (maybe other models but these were the only ones I was watching) with the etorque. This concerned me as the etorque wasn't anything I wanted and I knew I would be buying soon and preferred a 20 over the 19 just to skip the first year of the 5th gen. However, after a short time the regular hemi became available on each trim level so this may be a situation like that?

Definitely not a deal breaker from my end...but thats what happens when you jump in early to order without knowing some changes.

Building a 2022 on the NADA website, it shows there is an option for "Mopar Paint Protection Film, MSRP $765. This was not available on the 2021 nor I have I ever seen it on the Ram Build & Price tool in past years. Does anyone know anything about it?Quality film? What parts get the PPF?

Does anyone know if the 2022 Rebel crew cab can be ordered with the Technology Group without having the Night Edition forced on the build?

I haven’t seen or heard that those are tied together. Where are you getting that info?
The current Ram site doesn’t force that (for 2021 builds).
With both the public website and dealer sites, there are some quirks in the configuration settings. My dealer had to tinker with it a bit to make my settings come out right.

I had the same issue when building on the RAM website. The answer is yes, my dealer was able to select the tech package without forcing the night edition. Ultimately, I decided not to get the tech package, as it seems overpriced and not really all that great of options.

I believe that all of the 2022 orders are on "D" status as soon as the orders were accepted. You shouldn't expect to see any movement on it until they fire up the 2022 builds. Late July.
I still don’t have a vin yet either as of today 7/5/2022. Dealer said I should see one this week. From what I gather the production start date is 8/7/2022 as stated by Donlen which is for fleet orders.

I placed an order on 6.21.21 for a 2500 4x4 Mega Cab. I have a VON but am still waiting on a VIN. It looks like it may take up to three weeks for a VIN based on the information I am seeing in this thread.

I just built a Limited on NADA and interestingly didn't see blind spot monitoring listed anywhere

Its weird, if its a sold order, you can get the non-etorque hemi. If the dealer is order for the lot, only the etorque option is available. My dealer ran into the same thing, he tried just building it and the etorque was the only option. Once he started building it as a sold order, the regular hemi was there.

Update: Talked to my sales rep today and he said at the time he tried to put in my order ORG did not show up on his system and only 22 inch wheels were available. Since then ORG now shows as an option and 20 inch or 22 inch wheels are available on his system. He said must of been a system error. Thanks for info.
I ordered 2022 Limited 4x4 on 6/7 vin 6/9 ordered with 20 in

Does any one know or have estimate of how many trucks they built a day or on a shift?
