Just to be corny like the rest of you guys. It also came with two fobs. Wouldn’t have mattered to me if I had to wait for the second one

Yep Ohio, you got a few years on me. I'm trading my car so I'm driving down and back. Planned on driving 12 hours staying in Jackson MS and leaving early the next morning to get to the dealer right after they open. I've done most of the paperwork already. Then I plan on powering home, with a backup of staying somewhere in Ky. I'm leaving tomorrow morning.
I put an order in on 4/23 - and they are not even going to start the build before 6/28, possibly 7/5...? Doesn't that seem long? I ordered a 2021 1500 Big Horn, 5.7, 3.92, Deluxe cloth seats, non-powered side rails, Pan sunroof. I think I am getting the shaft. after all said and done - looking to be 14 weeks or longer. Not the original 8-12 (more likely closer to the 8 weeks), that I was told.

Did Ramchat tell you that? They NEVER gave me a build date or an estimate. One day it was scheduling and two days later it was built and being shipped. They aren't going to start making the 22's until 7-26 so it has to be built before that. What I am not impressed with is how they handle sold units. I honestly think they are pushed to the end of the line.

I feel your frustration! Where did you hear your build would start after 6/28. Rsgard ordered his on 4/27 and scheduled for shipping.
My order was escalated (haha) last monday and they sent me an email saying "At this present time, your vehicle is sequenced for production with all the parts necessary to start building your order either being scheduled or gathered." Huh....What?.............1 week later. I replied to that email, asking for an update and was told "we do not have any additional update for your order"
I will continue to hurry up and wait....

I would not rely on RAM Chat for completely accurate information. Have you checked with your dealer?

Yep - not very helpful in that respect. I had to ask several times for a VIN...almost 6 weeks after I ordered it. The dealer keeps telling me about the chip shortage, and says it might even be 2022. I will not be relying on them for any good info.

So I’m curious, why would any random dealership know more about the build process of a vehicle than an employee of the company of said vehicle??

Do you really think they work for FCA? My bet is it's a third party or some global tech center who get little to no information and don't really know anything other than what the computer spits out when they enter the VIN.

They can see exactly where it is. I don't think Ramchat can see what the dealer can see
Yeah but that's what I don't understand; how an outside company can see a more detailed status than someone from inside the company. It just boggles the mind from a business standpoint.

I guess that would make sense and probably explain a lot, lol.

Sounds like the status is the dreaded JB status for Body Vendor where they install spray in liners, running boards, decals, and other add ons. Mine sat there for close to a month before a window sticker popped up...and it's still there awaiting shipping.

Hemidakota was only in JB status for like 37 minutes! lol, lucky dude. I'm hoping my "extended" time is due to them not being open on weekends. Sorry to hear your delay though, do you think they messed up your decals and had to peel and reapply, or bad application of the spray in bedliner?

I’m home. Long day. Check engine light came on, I scanned it when I got back. P0C0B, I think it is something with the e torque? Certainly not a good start. It’s a very tight fit, I’ll take the folding work bench down tomorrow. Not sure if I’ll clear the cabinets without being in entry mode. Will be super tight with my wifes car in tomorrow.

Congratulations but I hope she drives a Prius. That's going to be tight. Sucks that your check engine light came on. I was just reading your other thread.
