Performance Pages for a Non TRX RAM?

I asked OBDGenie about the possibility of adding the Off Road pages app to my 2020 truck and they said that they can sell it to me but it may not work but they also said they can offer me performance pages that work 100% on all Ram models.

They said that UConnect has developed performance pages for all size screens and that the one for Ram with the 12 inch screen looks/functions like that one in the TRX. Has anyone heard of this or is the person I was talking to misinformed?

I'd assume that they wouldn't lie about it. I wonder if this could be done with AlfaODB or Tazer since most of the things they do there can be done with those 2.

The options are there for it in Alfaobd. I have tried this with the off-road pages and they never showed up on my evic or uconnect menu. I was a little surprised I never expected them to work without the rest of the sensors present but I did expect the menu to show up. I remember watching a video (I think it was OBDGenie) and they had to reset the radio several times to get them to show up with their programmer. I thought about trying the performance pages. I think you have to enable several other options in Alfaobd to get them to work like your truck is an SRT. Not something I'm willing to experiment with right now though. Maybe someone else can chime in with their experience.

On my 2015 ram I checked off that it was an SRT, and I enabled the performance AND off-road pages. The only thing that worked was the SRT color schemes and splash screens were unlocked. None of the performance or off-road pages worked. I also tried enabling the same things on my 2019 2500 with 12" UAX, and while it created no problems, it also didn't really enable anything new, not even extra themes or anything...

I was just watching a TFL on the raptor vs the TRX and I saw some of the performance pages, and now I want them. I do know that with new firmware updates come new features. When I did my 12" UAX conversion, the donor truck the module came from was an early 2019 with very old firmware so it was missing some themes and other menus specific to the HD trucks, like trailer tpms. Once I got a recent firmware update I got all those features.

I suspect the TRX uconnect might have a firmware version that hasn't yet been released to the public but contains the extra performance & off-road pages. I bet once that firmware update gets pushed out to trucks in the wild, it should be possible to just enable the pages with alfaobd.

Yeah maybe so. Still a little odd that they never added the off-road pages in the Rebel to begin with since the jeeps had it.

I almost feel like the 5th gens were rushed to production... Especially the HD's there were features like lane keep assist, trailer tpms, trailer blindspot monitoring, and trailer camera that we advertised to be available in the 5th gen HD's, but they're all missing / not available on the 2019's and even some of the early 2020's. It wouldn't shock me if the off-road pages were always supposed to be there on the 5th gens, but the software development fell behind so they left then out.

Another member on a different forum bought a brand new radio module out of a 2021, but he's retrofitting it into his 2018. So when he first booted it up, he saw some stuff on the screen about installing off-road or performance pages, and he got an icon to show up for them, but when he clicked on it it didn't work. I suspect the old style bcm in his 2018 doesn't support the pages that's why they're not working for him, I bet they'd work on a 5th gen truck.

It seems that the 2021 trucks have a new Uconnect firmware, version 20.29.13 with a build date of July 15 2020. I suspect that firmware includes the Off-road and possibly even the TRX performance pages and once that update is installed on older Uconnects you just have to use AlfaOBD to let the BCM know to enable the pages. I started asking around on a couple facebook groups if anyone was a Ram Tech or Employee and had access to the firmware updates, and a guy got back to me, said he's a service advisor, he checked the dealers system and informed me that version 20.29.13 hasn't been released as a dealer accessible update yet... That being said the only way to get the new firmware at the moment is to buy a module from the factory with the new software preloaded on it. I asked the guy to try and remember to keep me in mind if he notices they release the update in the near future.

This is good info, thanks for sharing it. I'll be keeping my eyes out for a uconnect update (though I won't hold my breath). I enabled the off-road pages several months ago with AlfaOBD on my truck but of course nothing showed.

I was talking to Andrew the other day, and another interesting thing he noted was- while he was on the phone with Sirius getting guardian activated, as soon as they enabled his guardian account, the performance pages disappeared from the radio.
I suspect that it’s not only going to be a radio firmware issue for those with 2019-2020s, but also a BCM firmware issue. I’m about to get my hands on a new radio module that has 20.29.13 on it (if they don’t kick my order). I’ll get a hold of you and see if you want to test it on your truck (since mine is a 2017) to see what happens with the pages.

He has a 2018 doesn't he? I really think for him it's a BCM issue, when i swapped a 2018 UAQ into my old 2015 1500, I had performance pages & SRT enabled in Alfa, and I got the Icon to appear but it would disappear since like you said I don't think the BCM could support it. I'm pretty confident all the 5th gens will support at least the offroad pages, it's just Uconnect probably didn't have the firmware ready in time for the 5th gen launch. I would gladly give it a shot if your cool sending me the module for a test. Keep me posted. Thanks man.

Can tell me how you got the trailer tpms . What did you have to do in detail? Thanks

I think it will either require a software update or a new EVIC.

Good luck...I seriously doubt these will ever become available for a standard RAM.
I Mean that is the whole purpose of this thread right? Trying to figure out a way to get the TRX performance pages on a NON-TRX RAM. I think it would be pretty cool. Almost the "Ultimate UConnect Experience"
