Stock +19mm is a killer, too tight for any larger tire applications

You only need the spacers to change the offset/BS. Those wheels already have 5 inch BS.
ah - that is the key. Now I get it. My stock wheels have the +19 but other wheels come in different offset/BS. Now it's all coming together! The wheel build determines that information ; not sure why that took me so long to get! By going with a wider tire, I will remove some of that positive offset but adding a spacer would help a lot. Final dumb question, I need to add the wheel spacer to the front and back tires, right?

You won’t remove the offset with the tires. They’ll stick further in and out from stock by 15mm each direction (305-275/2)

Right. 1/2'' on each side. The idea is to give a better stance and have a little bit of tire outside of the well, but not much. I think this is correct on the tire converter site: no spacer and there isbit of an improvement. With a 1.5" spacer, the stance improves more. Then the question is will there be rubbing or cutting needed....

mcp, I only had rubbing with front, but added 1.5” spacers on all four so stance is same all around. I know my lift kit stated MINIMUM +18mm offset, so stock wheels at +19 was already a no go. Also 295/60 is shorter tire vs 295/65 and shorter, narrower tires helps mitigate rubbing. I like look of 295/65’s, so minimum 1.5” spacers definitely needed.

Before the 295/65’s I had 33” 305/55’s which are shorter but much wider and rubbing with those was even worse. Got higher lift so taller tires but still needed the spacers. Still had to do some minor surgical plastic inner well trimming, but no more rubbing.

guess i'll see how it goes tomorrow when they get installed - 305/55/20's with bilstein 5100's up front. I have 1.5" wheel spacers too if needed.
