The actual fenders are the same and the wheels would be the same place, the only thing that would be different would be the little 1/4” flare.

If it helps, in 20+ years of lifted trucks I’ve never regretted going to big. I’ve definitely regretted going too small. I’ve also regretted waiting to replace my stock tires.
If the 295/65s rub a little there is a super easy fix in the sticky. Pull the bandaid off and put a smile on your face.

Haha thanks for all the info , your truck is perfect ! My only worry about the 295/65/20 is I don’t want it to fill my wells to much ... like since I’m only leveling the front 2.5 and nothing in the back I like the mean stance / high side walls on tires
This is the kit I’m using looks good but I think I would like a bigger tire just not to fill the wells to much and make the truck look long love the higher side walls for sure

The bigger the tires the more ground clearance. The smaller the lift, the lower the COG.

If you want more fender gap, get the 295/60s.

thanks - yeah, never had a truck before or LT tires. I like the look of them but concerned about noise and comfort.
I hate to be the downer here but if you’ve never had LT tires you will absolutely notice the difference. I tried LT tires on my truck last year for the first time in a 275/70/18 and it was very noticeably a stiffer ride. I went back to S/L rated tires. All depends on what you are willing to live with

Once you make the switch, the difference in ride isn’t that big to go a little bigger.
If you want the big tires, go as big as you can, it’s fun and will put a smile on your face. You want stock ride, stick with stock.

Yeah for sure man from what I read about those tires I’m sure I’ll like the ride right now it feels floaty and squishy with these tires I’m sure it will feel more like a truck with the nittos ! I just don’t want to much rubber over gap space yours is perfect but I think the 295/60\20s will look better on my truck since I won’t be lifting the back end , you agree ?

35x12.5r20 on the stock 20x9’s. Simple 2” level kit and very minimal trimming from what I am told. Never went that route tho, just ordered a 5” lift kit

More costly to incrementally increase. If you have the slightest desire to lift/increase tire size from stock, go the biggest you desire ONCE and be done. Trust me it’ll save money, time, and hassle in the long run and you can just enjoy your truck.

Do you know if I need a wheel spacer to have a 0 offset on my stock 20x9. I know current offset on stock is +19 and I just want to get to 0 on my new shoes which are 305/55/20. thanks!

You’d need 19 mm of spacer in that case. (3/4”) to get to 0.
Just a note, you are balancing two things. You’ll be close to the UCA without a spacer, the further you space out the closer you’ll get to rubbing the spat.

Pics of each location from mine.

thanks that helps! I am searching for a 1'' spacer. I think they only come at a min of 1.5" for billet.

Had to add 1.5” spacers on mine just to get sufficient clearance/‘breathing room’...For some reason our stock Rams are really tight.

1.5” gives nice stance but If I did again I’d do 2” spacers.

well you are running 35's too....I get confused though. we are talking wheel spacers - not suspension spacers right?
