TSB #24-001-20 A/C Fix. Has anyone had it done yet? Plus are you happy with the results?

Just picked my truck up after the TSB was performed. Everything seems to have been completed and put back together correctly other than some scratched and broken trim pieces. The AC seems cold but I've been using only heat for like 6 months so it's hard to tell how well it's working. I'll have to wait till it gets a little hotter for a true test.

This is the third time I've brought my vehicle in for warranty work and have noticed extra damage when I picked it up. The tech obviously knew he broke my trim piece. Why not just tell someone and put a new one on order. Like I'm not going to notice it. SMH

Yeh and this is why I still might get it done. Lol flip flop.
I hear you. Just make sure you point out your concerts to the SA, and inspect the work before leaving the dealership to ensure it’s good to go.

Do we know if this TSB is the answer to Star Case S2024000003?
Pretty sure it doesn’t. The symptoms it revolves around are slow to cool the cab and/or differential temp between the left and right center dash vents (driver’s side noticeably warmer than the passenger’s side).

After having my truck back for a few days I have to say I don't really notice much of a difference. The air coming out of the vents seems to be about the same as before and I would hardly say it's freezing cold like any nice vehicle I've ever sat in. I guess for now I have to wait till a super hot day to see how it holds up. I was really hoping for some freezing cold air to be shooting out of there.

Took the truck to the dealer first thing this morning. It was there for about an hour when they called to say it was done and that the repair would be completed per the TSB. Parts being ordered and should be in next week.

Is there a chance that my 2020 built in Dec 2019 doesn't need this fix? Or everything prior to the July date is suspected to have AC issues? I can't say mine is horrible but definitely not the best AC I've experienced.

No chance. Yours has the old design.

80 and mild humidity should not be an issue even with the defective unit.

Once you get high humidity and 90+ you will definitely see it struggling.

Yeh, Canadian summers seem to be the reason why I don't have complaints.

Mine did "fine" until I hit the 99 loop outside of Houston two summers back. It was 96 degrees and we were doing 90+ (everyone was - it's a tollway). I started out fine but after a few minutes I knew something wasn't right. The cabin just kept getting hotter and the AC was on auto with recirc on. I finally exited early because I thought something was seriously wrong with the truck but once I got off and was driving ~45 it cooled off again. It just couldn't keep up with the heat load - and I drive a white truck.

Next day I installed the heater bypass and that has made all the difference. Thinking about this TSB but didn't want the be the first in line.
