I have read both are as. Long as you get the one for with or without air ride. There are a lot of YouTube videos showing them already done.Does anyone know if the BDS 4" lift or the RC 5" lift are compatible with a 2021 Ram 1500 limited with the 5.7L gas engine? Thanks for your help in advance.
Thanks, I have seen the rough country done. I can’t find a video of the BDS for the 2020 done on a 2021. I talked to BDS and they won’t confirm or deny the 2020 will fit on the 2021 since they haven’t don’t one. I went ahead and ordered the 2020 kit for my 2021 anyways... wish me luck!I have read both are as. Long as you get the one for with or without air ride. Did you ever try the 2020 BDS 4” air ride on a 2021?Thanks, I have seen the rough country done. I can’t find a video of the BDS for the 2020 done on a 2021. No, I had to send it back. With the 4in lift and 35s my truck wouldn’t fit in my parking garage at work. I wish I could have installed it. The leveling kit was as much as I could doDid you ever try the 2020 BDS 4” air ride on a 2021?
What do they do for the UCAs? I don't see a replacement for them in the kit and the stock UCAs are not supposed to be good for anything over 2.5"got the RC 5" lift for a 2020 ram 1500 w/air ride a few weeks ago. going to attempt the installation this weekend on my 2021 ram 1500 limited w/air ride. I'll post an update when complete.
So installed the RC 5" lift for a 2020 Ram 1500 on my 2021 Ram 1500 Limited with air ride. the only complication is that there is not an option to put the truck in Jack Mode. You have to lower the truck to aero and unplug the battery for 30 minutes once that is complete install the kit Everything lined up with no issues.
There is no "Jack Mode" in the Uconnect stetting's on the 2021 (took it to the dealership and they couldn't find it either). I am running 35x12.5 Toyo M/Ts with a -24 offset. Rubbed a lot so I had to trim the plastic. Even after trimming a bit of plastic off the driver side (passenger side didn't rub as much) it still rubs pretty good in Normal mode/height. It does not rub at all in Off Road 1. The photo was taken in Off Road 1. The front and back measured 45 1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well in Off road 1 mode. Hope this helps. Can you elaborate re Jack mode? I thought you could set the vehicle in Jack mode via the Uconnect settings anytime? This is the first ive heard about any issues there.
Also, what size wheel/tire combo do you have and what height setting is the RAM in that image??
I have a 2021 limited on air ride and I have a “ tire jack mode” I’m also running some federal 35x12.5x22 on factory rims and had no running in “normal” mode only in aero...There is no "Jack Mode" in the Uconnect stetting's on the 2021 (took it to the dealership and they couldn't find it either). Interesting that you have the "Jack Mode". Mine definitely does not. I watched multiple videos on how to put it in jack mode and as I stated previously, the dealer couldn't find it either. Did you install the RC 5" lift? if so then the offset of the wheel would be the difference on the tire rub. I'll post photos of how much plastic needed trimmed at a later time.I have a 2021 limited on air ride and I have a “ tire jack mode” I’m also running some federal 35x12.5x22 on factory rims and had no running in “normal” mode only in aero...
I’m curious how yours does not have jack mode. Won’t you blow your air strut if you jack your truck up to change the tire?? Air suspension isn’t new technology. All the cars I have ever seen or worked on that had air ride from the factory all had a tire jack mode. Going back 20years on Cadillac’s. Here is a pic of my tire jack mode....Interesting that you have the "Jack Mode". Mine definitely does not.
