Of course they’ll blame it on any aftermarket equipment first. You can check for parasitic draw yourself with a voltage meter, if the amp is in standby it should not draw any power.

Disconnect the amp and see if the issue resolves itself. If not, then you have more of a leg to stand on with your dealer. This is the downside of installing electronics in any vehicle...it's easy for them to place blame and want to charge to troubleshoot. Take the variable out of the equation and they have no leg to stand on ;)

Yea disconnect it or pull it out for awhile so they can’t blame the amp. If the remote is working right it shouldn’t be draining anyway

I do a ton of off grid logging road driving in northern Ontario, can easily be an hours drive from civilization or even cell signal at times, a good booster pack is a must even on a brand new truck.

Ive had good luck with the noco genius booster packs.

Care to elaborate? Are you saying the model/style of amp was the cause of the battery drain?

i didnt want to bore anyone with my "Whining".so i kept it brief🙂.our truck has so many "cranking amp".which for us is about 850.which gives us about 140hr of amp playing time....as long as your"RMS" on your amp doesnt exceed 764RMS.😲.i had went well over that with my old one.i think 1500 to 2000.😲but it still worked.but when the "Subwoofer"kicked in thats when all hell broke loose.way to much draw on the battery.so i had to do a major drop in my amp"RMS".

Wowza - That's a lot! I was concerned since I'm planning to hook up my 150w @ 4ohms Rockford Fosgate. Seeing that you were trying to push 1,500-2,000 watts without an additional battery/alternator combo makes sense for why it killed your battery. Did you have an auxiliary system on your old truck to make it all work?

now that i think of it,it gave my some issue to.no one told me any better.even installers.but i hope from my mistake it will help others!you will be fine with that amp you have, you have 859CCA so you can go up to a 764RMS amp.but do not go over though!
