Add me to the list of people who have contacted Aaron. I'm not sure if I'll actually end up ordering through him or not, but I just got numbers from yet another dealer in the northeast that included a healthy $899 processing fee and the old double charged destination charge of $1695...they have decently marked down 2020's that are leftover but tacking back on $2600 doesn't help the numbers at all. Always some kind of game.

For anyone looking this is Safford of Warrenton in Virginia, the lower prices on the 2020s (msrp of $70,205 down to $58,952 or $67,420 down to $55,901 (both of those increased $2,000 from Feb to March)) could be had before any negotiating or talk of rebates. However, with the $2000 increase from last month in addition to now knowing about the extra $2600 in fees, I'm not in the same neighborhood anymore for what I'm willing to pay. I'm expecting a call from the sales manager soon but we are pretty far apart, looking forward to hearing back from Aaron and seeing what the difference is to just go to a 21.

Has anyone here ordered a truck from Mark Dodge had them put a lift on at their dealership before you took delivery?

If you ask him, I am curious as well. I just may ask as my order proceeds.

Curious, what kind of costs did you end up with leasing through them?

Laramie
MSRP $66360
Sale Price $57462 plus $219 (doc/temp tag/notary) apply any rebates and add tax title and licensing.

The end of the month there were $2650 incentives. He believes he locked them in for me but couldn’t guarantee because they don’t do many leases and wasn’t sure. But he sent a doc showing the incentives at time of order so I’m sure he’d try if they are worse at delivery. MF and residual are not lockable because the vehicle value will change over 2 months. Since last month MF went from .00009 to .00010 and residual actually went up from 55 to 56% on a 3 year/12k lease. Which makes a lower estimated current payment overall.

That was the first Ram I fell in love with, Patriot Blue with Indigo/Frost. I think it's the most elegant and cosmopolitan. Like, if I wanted to step out for valet parking in front of the opera house, this would be the right truck for it. I came very close, but the dealer was too proud and really enjoyed looking at it on their lot. In fact, it's STILL there, and has been since October.

Got mine a few weeks ago after ordering, was worried about staining; but in the end so glad I got it.

In regards to Incentives, I noticed Rebel incentives dropped to $1500 cash allowance or 0% for 72 months with $500 cash allowance. If the total cash allowance drops anymore I might pass on paying cash and finance at 0%. I'm thinking about doing that now with just a $1k cash allowance difference.
Yes, the Rebel rebates dropped $500 for March. The incentives offered on the Rebels are among the worst of the trim options. I agree that with the lack of any substantial rebate, taking the 0% financing is looking more attractive. It's one of the reasons that this Sales Order Consumer Incentive Protection program is nice as it provides a bit of assurance for an unknown situation in 2 months during the delivery timeframe.

Is there a way to determine what the price of the vehicle will be at the end of the lease. Does the leaser get a discount if they purchase it?

So let me get everyone's opinion on this order from Aaron at Mark Dodge...MSRP of $70,995 and price before rebates $61,454 plus the $219 doc fee and tax/title/licensing etc. Aaron said the current rebate for the longhorn was $1,750 but confirmed if the incentives/rebates are better at the time of purchase, we can go that way too. So with the at least $1,750 in rebates, that puts the price at $59,704 (about 16% off before fees/taxes).

What I'm not sure of is getting any additional money off from there. I've read a little about the penfed coupon, but am not sure what that entails? I would imagine setting up an account with them in some fashion? If I were to get the $1,000 coupon for that, is there anything else beyond that I should be trying for as well?

Also, does anyone have any experience trading in with Aaron? Seems like most people have had their truck shipped or have flown in and drove home, I'm hoping the trade in offer is in the ballpark cause otherwise everything seems pretty good with this dealership and I'm getting more tempted to order and make the drive down and back.

Edit: Also anyone who has financed through this dealership, do they try to add a couple of points or will they give you an honest rate? Not a deal breaker either way, can always refinance here (and likely will since my CU tends to offer good interest rates) but if they could come close to my CU I would be happy to keep my financing through them for longer.

The residual. In his example, its 56%, nearly always of msrp.

Sorry man. That option was a dealbreaker for me too. Nobody in NC had one, so I went to DC for mine in September. Hope they get it solved for you sooner rather than later. Are there any built trucks anywhere that check most of your boxes?

We're like a lot of people on here, wanting a "unicorn." We're fortunate that we don't have to rush. I'd be comfortable (I believe) pulling our trailer around our area with my Grand Cherokee. The travel trailer is the primary driver for getting the truck--so we can take longer trips.

I've found some existing trucks that come close, but then they have a $3500 Night package or something like that. I don't want 22" wheels or to pay that much for a cosmetic package. I found one that was almost perfect, but it had the 40/20/40 front seats. That seems to be a pretty rare arrangement itself.

Same here. First time is saw it online line I remember thinking is that blue? Then it grew on me and when I saw the combo in person loved it. Almost bought a patriot blue one but dealer was stubborn and found a max steel that I like a lot.

The isn't difference in payload on 1500 Crewcab Laramie and Limited but on the Rebel its around 30ish pounds. Where did you see specs?
All I have really been able to do is look up payload by VIN on existing trucks. It's definitely not an exact science. Seems like every Limited I looked up had pretty low payload. Could be the way they optioned them, though. There's nothing, however, unique to the Limited that makes me want to step up. And, I've got to draw the cost line somewhere. 😄

Same. I think the night packages look great, but I wasnt interested in paying $3500 for it. Ot 2k for 22" wheels that I did not want.

Just signed up for penfed just in case I do end up going with this order. Should be able to use my GF's VW for the bonus drive (that's after the transaction, correct?)...is the $1,500 popup from the ram website officially dead or is that still available? If so, can use with penfed or is it one or the other? Even with just the incentives/rebate and penfed, that would put me a little over 17% off msrp before fees, that combined with the way lower fees than most dealerships, really starting to think this is the way to go. Really hoping Aaron comes back with a favorable trade in value, that could push it over the edge for me to pull the trigger.

Appreciate your help and all of the information you have provided Silent Bob.

There's probably not more than 1-2 more % in it at best on a Longhorn/Limited so the price you have is pretty good. That's about the going deal on a Limited/Longhorn. I thought the rebates were closer to $2000 though, are you not in the south? Rebates for Longhorn/Limited have been thr same $2000 (for me, Texas) since April 20, I highly doubt they change in the coming months. This time last year the rebate was $8000.

Ramtrucks.com supposedly had a pop up that would come up that offered a coupon for $1,500 off. I don't think that pop up has worked for some time now, probably since Dec 2020. Although, I would certainly like to see it again!

Currently there is no popup but they do email things occasionally. Last month it was $1000. Make sure you give them your info. You can call the number I listed when you have gathered all your rebates and see what can be combined.
