BANKS PEDAL MONSTER ARRIVED... GOTTA GET HER ON THIS WEEKEND!
Not today, but a couple months ago (I've been meaning to come back here and enter my trip) I drove 3000 miles in 5 days - Dallas to Syracuse, NY and back. All highway miles up to 80mph at times. 7 to 9 hours per day, only stopping for 10 to 20 minutes for fuel, snack, and bio break. Absolutely loved the truck. So comfortable, ride was spot on, visibility was amazing, and navigation/entertainment was super. Was hoping there might be snow in Syracuse so I could play, but no such luck.

Already had my grill marker lights installed, but changed up how I was powering them. Thanks @Waterfowler41 for the wiring how-to on your recent video.

4 year warranty on the coating itself (not entirely sure what that means or covers) but I need to go back once a year for 4 years to "recharge" it, so to speak

That Anvil is a rare color! I think...
On the ceramic coating, I'm assuming you had the option for more layers of 9H, which would extend your warranty from 4 years to lifetime. Did you consider that?
I'd like to get a coating also. I can't decide on how many layers. Each costs more. If you do less, and you keep the truck, you'll just want to do it again in 4 years.
After having just gotten my loan and truck, it's hard thinking of more $1000+ add-ons, like the tonneau I want, and the film and ceramic.

I opted for the 4 year, just based on cost / benefit and the likelihood of me keeping the truck for more than 5 is slim. Once I get to the 4-5 year mark I'll probably have had the itch to get a new truck for about 2-3 years
If I decide to keep the truck for longer, I'll weigh the benefit of getting another 4 year application done.

I don't keep anything past 2 years...maybe 2.5 tops. I paint correct and ceramic coat myself for less than $150. Total opposite, last truck was 13 years, driving them into the ground, still missing it, and it was a chevy. Guessing 12 plus for this one

I second that. I had absolutely no experience with paint correction or ceramic coating, was a little intimidating to do on a brand new $75K truck, but after watching a bunch of videos on how to polish and prep the truck and then properly apply the ceramic, it was actually very simple. VERY time consuming, took me about a total of 16 hours but anyone can do it. It isn’t hard at all. I had to purchase everything from the polisher to the ceramic kit itself, all in all cost me about $500 for everything because I didn’t have anything, but still well under what it would have cost to have someone else do it. And the next time I do another vehicle it’ll only cost the amount of a kit which is less then $100

Do you use your vehicle for work? Contractor / own your own business? What I'm getting at is, do you figure it into your tax return. After living 15 years without a truck payment, and now looking forward to paying five years for this amount of money, it's hard to get in the heads of others who are constantly upgrading every couple of years. Obviously easier if you make six figures.
On the ceramic coat, did you use regular retail products? I assume the professional grade products are of much higher quality.
16 hours of work is...a lot. I'm not the guy that says my time is too valuable to do it myself. I do EVERYTHING myself. But I bought a truck just now, in my midwestern winter. Can't really sit in the driveway every day polishing my truck like a Floridian can. For fear of the elements, I haven't driven it since last weekend when I drove it home from South Carolina. It just sits in the driveway avoiding the salted roads.

I do not use it for work and cannot write it off on my taxes. I just like new every 2-3 years because I can and I am a technology junkie. My truck is a toy and only a toy. There are several excellent retail ceramic products out there, but I have access to professional versions as well. Even the "professional" coatings are not much more than retail if you buy the higher end of the retail spectrum. You can do a section of your truck each weekend and my the end of the month...you're done
I already own a polisher and a ton of quality microfiber towels and that's all you need. It really is super easy. When I see guys spending $1500-$4000 on paint correction and ceramic, I just shake my head
