Anyone else annoyed by the "side pockets" on the center console? Ideas for them?

OK, it's no secret I love this truck. It's comfortable, well put together, just a nice overall ride. But I have finally found something that I find annoying/aggravating (other than the fuel filler/capless setup which I don't like at all).

It's the "side pockets" on the center console. You have to have some kind of midget fingers (little people?) to put your damn hand in there. Every time something drops in there I end up with a flat head screwdriver or something similar fishing it out of there. Who the hell designed that opening?

Anyway, has anyone found a good solution for either blocking it off or making it easier to use?

How? The opening is probably 1/2". I would have to see a picture of that to believe it!

The clip of the holster clips on the edge. Holster hangs near my calf and within easy reach. The gun isn’t actually inside the pocket

I’ll take a photo tomrw but a bunch of us use it that way to clip the holster

OK, that makes sense. I can see the belt clip fitting in there.

I think one day when I have time I'm going to make some kind of tray that fits in the entire length of the thing.

When I read this title I had to reply. I’ve thought this many times. Completely useless storage pocket. When I have something accidentally fall in it like my glasses I struggle to get them out. My hand can’t fit in to grab it. I would think they could of come up with a better idea than that. It’s only a minor issue though as I pretty much love the rest of the truck.

Same as above I keep my holster attached to it. Other than that never use the things cause I always forget about them. And one time I did put something in it, it was a PITA to get it back out.
