Does anybody have any write up or info on replacing the door handle ? I’m looking to swap out the full handle not just the white cover . It’s for the rear passenger side , not having much luck on this . Any tips or tricks would be great .

Ok guys got this all figured out . Inside the door is a access hole which will get you to the only bolt that needs to be backed out . It’s a t25 torx , and you do not need a long torx screw driver . A standard 4-6” reaches no problem .A1D4C2DD-73E9-43E4-A922-B9748812A57C.jpegD68F7D09-C4DE-4403-82CC-E0CE41BDD13D.jpeg
T25 gets backed out fully until it stops turning . The cap pops right off after that . image.jpg
now to finish , push gently in towards the truck on the handle and slide it out pushing back towards the rear of the truck 3D9A864B-1A42-4DCF-95E4-5EC6AC57D880.jpeg

Super easy, any questions feel free to ask

Why did you need 2 do this?

No ,just reflection. Just figured I’d post this being there’s no pictures or write up on this topic.

So the interior panel did not need to be removed?

just removed the driver side as well without taking the door panel off . 0845E37A-EF4D-413F-8D2A-E0A72E61F021.jpeg

Really I’m actually in the process of removing them all to vinyl wrap the truck . I’m almost on to the driver side I didn’t no that . Why exactly do you need to remove the door panel ?
Thats what I was told by the dealership when they chipped my door handle, but you know how they are...could be wrong.

Yeah definitely wrong . I just provided the picture up top , definitely don’t have to remove any door panels to remove the door handles

They are definitely wrong. As previously stated, all the handles and caps can be removed without the need to remove the door panels. The only difference will be whether or not you have passive entry up front, in which case you will have the connector to unplug before the handle will be free and clear.

first off I want to say thank you I looked everywhere for a video on how to do this and couldn’t find it but just followed your instructions worked perfect less then a hour and it was in the dark the back ones I just replaced the cover so I didn’t have to remove the door seal which was actually harder then taking the whole thing off

No prob, glad this helped you . I searched high and low for a couple months before I finally just had some time to dive in and figure it out . Super easy process though ,nice job 👍🏼

Thank you for this post! Saved me so much time and effort.

Just picked up my painted handles today. Will replace the chrome ones tomorrow. Hopefully it is as easy at it seems.
