The man has enough pride in his country to put Stars and Stripes on his truck... I’d say he has plenty of business displaying that love of country. I served this great country in Iraq and it gives me a great sense of pride to see a citizen, especially in this strange day in age, showing his appreciation for the country he is blessed to be living in.

IMHO, there are far worse things going on in this world that you can channel your dismay towards than someone who shares your same love of country. Start with the people burning the flags, perhaps.

To the OP, nice work on the install. Love the matte decals... they look fantastic on the black Ram!

Thank you sir and thank you for your service!

I come from a full family of veterans, my father being one of them who served over 30 years. He was more than excited to help place these decals on my truck. I mentioned to him the critique I received for showing my pride and he had the same reaction as you. Thank you for your understanding.

I also have the one on my grille, which doesn't have 50 stars but I haven't had any complaints, only compliments.

I was not ready to upgrade the tires yet. The truck only has 2000 miles on it. I went through a pothole this morning on the road on my way to work. I pulled into my shop and I hear a hissing sound on my passenger rear tire. Side wall has a split in it. Crappy Goodyear stock street car tires that should not be on a truck in my opinion. Didn’t last for crap. I needed something fast that would fit my truck and did not require a lift. I scoured the forum and I found a member that used these tires on his truck and it looks good. Luckily I found a tire store in my area that had them in stock for a good deal installed.

Front tire and rear tire went through the pothole. No load in the back. You would think the front tire that had more weight on it would take the damage. I don’t know if it was just a defective tire

I've been wanting to upgrade my tires for a long time, I think I will head to potholes too. these tires look great. Black lug nuts would look good too.

I agree on the black Lugnuts. Trying to find the right size is difficult. I have asked a couple of places and they told me they are not available for my truck. If anyone has any suggestions or links on what they used for the same wheels that would be helpful. Thanks

Yeah, I currently serve. It’s one thing to put on a flag decal with some oversight on semantics because of pride for your country. No big deal. But when it “doesn’t bother me in the slightest ROFLMAO”, that’s not pride. That’s just going for the look of pride.

People burning the flag, they’re frustrated and you fought and I fight for their freedom to do so whether we agree or not. But feigning pride is completely different.

But hey, thanks for the censorship on my account for posting a question.

No, it doesn't bother me at all that the flag is not facing the "right" way on my passenger side, and I also don't see it as a sign of disrespect - and neither do many people. Your opinion is clear, and I cannot and will not change that (sorry you feel that way).

Thank you for your ongoing service and have a blessed day.

I don’t see it as disrespect to have a wrong facing flag. It’s the “ROFLMAO” after saying it doesn’t bother you that I saw as disrespect.

It’s not the flag that bothered me, it’s the attitude. But since I’m not the first one to point out the flag error, I wouldn’t be the only person bothered by it.

Now for something sightly less confrontational... I installed a bedrug. As others on this forum have discovered, the bedrug for 4th gen rambox trucks fits our 5th gens. Bedrug claims they don't make a product for the 5th gen rambox.... But really they just need to edit the description in their existing rambox model.

As usual with bedrug, the product fits and looks great!

You're bothered by an emoji? You see it as "ROFLMAO" but I view it as a giggle - not like we have many emoji options on here.

The funny thing about this whole "controversy" is that either orientation on the passenger side is technically correct. Either oriented as a flag patch on the right shoulder of a military uniform, with the flag appearing to flow back as the soldier moves forward. Or oriented as you would normally view a flag, with the starfield on the left. For me, as prior service, either direction is fine. Only the driver's side could potentially be "backwards".

The ones I find more interesting are the flag decals with fewer than 50 stars. I get for most it's a space thing, but some of these vinyls are rather large and only have like 36 stars. That seems the bigger snafu if we are going to be nit-picky.

Exactly. It has been a challenge on it's own to find a rear window decal that actually has 50 stars and is of good quality or isn't sold out. So many of these decals have about 35-45 stars and they aren't what I'd consider "small".

I'm also a Marine veteran who did two tours in Iraq and I love seeing things like this. Anyone who shows pride for this country is good in my book. People get too caught up in minor/inconsequential details.
