I am looking to buy 305/55R20 tires to put on Fuel Rage 6 20x9 +1 offset wheels.
Couple of questions:
A local shop salesman told me that I can put 305/55R20’s on my 2020 1500 laramie without leveling it. Can I actually do this?
Same salesman also told me that I shouldn’t get 10ply tires Bc it’ll ride harsh, is it a noticeable difference?
Last of all, any recommendations for a tire? I’m looking at A/T’s, Hybrid’s, and M/T’s. I want a nice sidewall look, which is the only reason I’m not too interested in the Nitto Terra Grapler G2’s.
Thanks in advance,
Jake

Take a look at the Yokohama Geolandar X-AT. Nice hybrid tire - it's quiet, and even though it's 10 ply and the ride is stiffer than the stock P rated tires, I wouldn't call the ride "harsh". They have two different sidewalls you can pick from depending on which way you mount them.

Okay, I’ll take a look, thank you.

I’m running 305/40/22 without leveling it, no issues slight rub but not enough to burn through the plastic

Check out customoffsets.com. You can see what people are running on stock, level or lift with the new Rams. I run 10 ply and honestly don’t notice a difference. They are heavy so gas mileage has suffered a little.

whats the difference between your +1 rim and stock rim ? i had a 305 50 20 (used street tire non AT ) installed on stock rim and there was a 1/8 inch gap between the tire and upper control arm (too little to be safe in my opinion) i hope that gives you an idea . Cheers

I just put 20x9 +2 fuel wheels on with 305/55r20 recon grappler tires. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn that has the Air ride system. No rubbing at all, even in the entry mode all seems good. No spacers or anything else! 3D9202E6-6503-4037-90E0-661C12799835.jpeg 2473B224-B696-4493-8631-045D605A92AA.jpeg AD0CA865-883A-4AAA-8C14-59EBB7A79D31.jpeg
