Have seen a few posts about the truck vault and decked installs so figured I'd share my homemade solution as I didn't have the $$ for those. I built this for my 2014 but moved it over to the 2019 when I upgraded. Included a pic with the topper closed because I think it is funny how lucky I got fitting this truck in the garage.

Nice DIY

Where did U get yer Black badges from? part ###? How $$$$$... I am gonna work on de-badging a lil, after I get new parts put on MC,,,

They were all found on eBay. All I did was type in “OEM blacked out decals” for 2019 Ram 1500 DT and there are tons of them for sale, all OEM and brand new. Good prices too.

The red “HEMI 5.7L“ are actually sticker letters I found from a company called 3rd Strike. Just type in red Hemi badge and it’ll pop up. You just peel them off and carefully overlay them onto the etched lettering.

I really thought long and hard about PlastiDip vs going the OEM blacked out route due to cost , PlastiDip is much cheaper ($25 For the bottle?) but I really wanted the original OEM look without any of it chipping away eventually and having to redo it. So I elected to spend some $$$, overall the entire blacked out badge route cost me around $250 From eBay.

The blacked out 5” Mopar exhaust tips, I found on BAM Wholesale Parts, a Mopar wholesale company. Got them for around $305:

The new wheels arrive Monday, those will be the OEM Built To Serve Gray 20” wheels. After those go on I’ll be done with round one of mods!

Good luck, you will love the blacked out look.

looks very nice, with the larger tips, do you think the megaphone affect is happening at all? exhaust seem any louder?

I definitely think the exhaust is just a tad louder. Not Borla or Cat back louder but just enough for me. Love the way it looks too!

Did a test fit and figured out my truck fits in my new garage! After two houses in a row that it didn’t!
YUP, I just make it in my garage. I would have more room on far side, but alas, got a Hoss, where the hay is, LOL. So stuck with center with built in work area and cabinets, etc etc... But I do not keep it in there all the time, usually only put in the garage when like Hail predicted. Besides, I have to take the trailer out to put the truck in, LOL.

Will it wake the whole house up say when one goes fishing really early in the morning?

I've been eyeing the S or the touring...

Haha my girlfriend thinks it will definitely wake the whole house up if it's parked in the garage. If it's parked outside, you'll probably be ok. The S Type sounds really good once it idles down but it's a little loud on a cold start.

Got my koadtech bypass and passive entry harness made by Jimmy in today. Both quality products and can’t wait to put them to use. Next up is to order all the handles and antenna for passive entry.

husky mud flaps. interestingly the 4th 'optional' screw doesn't attach to sheet metal, only to the plastic wheel well housing.

Just installed mine too. The tape wouldn’t stick to the plastic and I didn’t bother with the extra optional screw. I think it’s better to be able move it and blast out any crude behind it. ‍

I was thinking same until it seemed too floppy for my liking. We’ll see how it goes.
