That’s exactly why us desert rats invade your mountains every summer. Haha.

Hahaha I know all about that. Also lived in Vegas for 2 summers. I know heat and made the decision I didn’t want to know it any better!

Ok, you piqued my interest, where is this secret drawer in the center dash?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Thewrangler73 described it perfectly... here ya go in case you missed it:
On trucks that have the center jumpseat rather than the floor console there is a decent sized drawer at the bottom of the dash, under the radio and ac controls, right along the floor. Its big enough that i can fit my full size Sig p229 or a smith 686 in it, not that i leave it in there., if a gun ever HAS to be left in the truck, it gets locked in the glove box. But on long drives ill often put my sidearm in there just for comfort purposes. But the drawer is hidden enough that noone riding in my truck has ever known it was there, it took me 2 weeks to even find it LOL. When i pointed it out to my salesman next time i was at the dealership he had no idea it was there either.

Did the fluid line AC hack. Dropped my temps to 43.9 versus 54. Much better feeling!

Nice drop! Looks like I’m going to have to install the solenoid valve that I have at my shop before we hit 120 highs here.

finally got my new wheels installed
4play 4P80R 22x12 -44 offset. These actually stick out further than the 2 inch wheel spacers. Im having to do more trimming in the back and front I do have icon stage 2 kit on but don't have the colonels adjusted all the way up just yet. Waiting on control arms first to go higher.

So not that I necessarily did all this today, please excuse my tardiness..lol.
Picked my new 1500 Limited up last Friday and I already had my Borla S-Type and Hellwig sway bar on deck.

Spoiler alert... Almost instantaneously began driving like a Hoon... Smiles have been part of the drive every day since.

Now just need to decide how I want to handle the intake... CAI system or just a drop in....

Next up is a Pedal Commander View attachment 62401 View attachment 62402 View attachment 62403 View attachment 62404
I was hoping it was an ecodiesel. Dying to hear what eco would sound like w a borla. Got a 20 Limited night PKG eco

Replaced the front door sill that I Broke when installed my bed lights. I’m glad it wasn’t an expensive mistake.

argh... WHEN I was doing LED in MY 19 Bighorn, interior, upper console, no where on any of the DIY did they mention (2) interior clips besides the (2) screws in the glasses case area. SO I pulled the screws and went to pull down the console and heard "snap". Man was I mad. But since screws hold up, I just changed out to LED and put back up with Locktite, it not going ne where, LOL.

Got the new tires and 1” spacers installed. Went with 305/45R22 Ridge Grapplers and couldn’t be happier. Also didn’t have to cut my lugs as the factory wheels have spaces in the back.

Did you paint the lug nuts black or buy black replacements?

Finally put this project to rest by reinstalling my factory until I can figure out my sway bar spacer solution. My RMI bar is too thick and needs a 1” spacer to clear my new diff.

OEM bar is skinnier but I also think it has more severe bends allowing it to clear my PML cover.

Finally installed my ham radio. Yaesu FT-8800R
Mounted inside the console on the back wall. Drilled a hole in the floor to run all the cables - power, antenna, remote head.
mounted the remote head in front of the CD player. Was able to fish the remote head cable between the CD player and dash. Only wire I couldn’t hide well (by the seat) was the antenna bc it’s so thick and got lazy to remove more bolts and carpeting.
I ran the antenna from the bed into the cab using the rear plug under the back seats.

Nice! Where/How did you mount the antenna on the bed? If I was driving more than once a week I'd finally get a new Ham setup
