The tips will not make any difference in sound
According to REALTRUCK, the so called experts:
"When used in combination with an upgraded exhaust system, including wider pipes and/or an performance muffler, exhaust tips can amplify the new tones coming from your exhaust. The shape and width of the exhaust tip can slightly change the sound to be either more throaty (larger tips) or raspy (smaller tips). Double-walled muffler tips tend to add a full-bodied sound.

Yes...and all you need is a $15,000 spectrum analyzer to find the difference. Going from a 4" round to a 5" round will never be heard by 99.999999% of the population.

so that everyone can hear any subtle changes
I agree with you that the changes will be subtle and that most people will not be able to tell the difference. However I use to be a sound engineer, so I'm confident that I will be able to pick up the subtle tones and nuances from the 5" tips. (Perhaps I should do a before and after the tip demo)

So I decided to get a clip of the exhaust prior to installing the 5" Mopar tips so we can do a side by side comparison.

Outside temp was about 65 F when I recorded this.

@JCTexasMex ...actually not much. More for the sound than anything. The factory set-up actually isn't a bad one and breathes fairly easy. Unless you are going to add a tune and a few other mods, you will not feel any difference from either the B2 or any CAT-BACK system for that matter. I would say 99% of us are doing it for the sound to hear that beautiful HEMI roar!

Maybe just a hair but nothing major. You don't like it? Can you post of pic and I'll compare it to mine?

I love the sound its great. I'll post up a pic this evening for you thanks! Mine sticks out past bumper probably an inch and a half or so. Nothing too major but I like it tucked in a bit more. Im thinking I didn't trim enough off of the stock pipe, also have to check connection from the magnaflow connection going into the stock Tailpipe section. I have the clamp cranked down as far as itll go but its a little loose. that may be the issue too.

does one tip stick out further? Mine does just a bit on the drivers side. Nothing too crazy but im a tad ocd lol. When it gets hot or doing some spirited driving I do notice the tips stick out further. Just heat expansion but that's when I notice it most.

I have the same issue. When I put the Mopar tips on the driver side sticks out a little further. I even took it off and put it back on thinking I did not have the collar all the way in place.

Made no difference. I did not notice the difference lengths when I had the factory tips on though..

yeah I took a dead blow hammer and gave the resonator delete pipes a good whack to make sure they were seated well. it helped. Ive seen a lot of stock rams too with the same issue. the only adjustment is the passenger side tailpipe. you can move it out. It has a metal tab on the y pipe section that the tailpipe slides into for alignment.
