Hey guys! I've spent a few days reading this thread and sifting through the great work being done. I'm wondering if @Swifty could help me out and add the sales code to my VIN? Can someone help me out with a parts list as well? Literally at witts end with my truck not having passive entry like my last one.
Unfortunately, Swifty can no longer add sales codes, he's working on it tho... i'd love to get you part #s for the parts you need, Is your truck a 19 or 20? What color is it(If you don't know exactly, get me the paint code from the door sill) and if you have the chrome trim on the handles.

2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon, no chrome inserts, and is paint code PW7. If you can, I would like to get the door harness as well that way everything is just plug and play. I dont have the patience to wire and tap into harnesses like others.

Until you know you can get the sales code added, do not buy anything. The parts can be installed after the sales code is added

Called the dealer and was told the head tech say he could get it done and they scheduled me an appt to bring truck in Friday for flash. I'm dropping the truck off tomorrow for lineX so will try and verify the tech knows what he's getting into... fingers crossed

I'd like to add this to my truck. I have the matte black handles which I'm assuming don't have an option for proximity at all. So I'd be fine with the diamond black to match the exterior. Could I get part numbers on that?

Can't believe they're not adding this as a part of Level 2 for the big horn. I can get all the other bells and whistles but you draw the line at proximity door handles?! lol

Did you have a chance to look up those part numbers?

That sounds good! Good for you. Keep us posted please...
Just heard back that the engineer said it won't work. Told the dealer to tell hime to add the code and if it doesn't work it will be on me. I'll see what his answer is after the holiday break

Yeah... I couldn't find part #s for the 2500s... Can you post a picture of your handle? I'm pretty sure it's the same as the 1500 but the parts websites only show the older version...

Of course he's gonna say that... SMH

Someone is not telling you the exact truth. The zone rep probably just does not want to add it. Possible liability issue from their point of view. That would be their excuse anyway.

What do you think would be the liability issues?

Think about it. The truck was put together and engineered by professionals. FCA has a built in liabilty for what they designed and manufactured. The end user who is probably not a pro, probably installs his own wiring harness, install all the factory handles and then if something goes wrong, FCA is on the hook. A lot of these guys are only doing 1 handle, definetly not the tailgate wiring and antenna. That is why I think FCA is afraid too just let an end user do this. But it is also your truck and you can do what you want. FCA, just probably is too afraid to endorse what you have done. That is why I still believe a Mopar kit needs to be made. We can argue that FCA screwed everyone who paid for a level 2 option. But we are stuck with what we have, until something changes.

I told them if they add the code they can do the install so end user shouldn't be an issue.

Did you get a quote for this. Might be cheaper to trade in. It could be $1200.00 parts and labor at a dealer to do this. Then you need to hope you don't get an inexperienced kid to do this. To do this correctly at a dealer level would require 2 door handles, 2 caps, 2 door wiring harnesses, the tailgate harness and tailgate antenna. That has to be $700.00 in parts alone. FCA should not have tricked everyone with the crafty language on the window sticker. Even the salesman were unaware that FCA was doing this. Pretty ****ty.

More like $1200 just for parts. He's looking at $2500 at least for this upgrade at the dealership.. Doesn't worth it...
