Front grille RAM nameplate

Didn’t want to thread jack so created a new post. For those wondering about the black RAM on the front grille, I just picked it up today. Part #68298470AA, got it for $34 and some change.

How did you remove the chrome lettering from the grille?
I want to do the same thing to my Bighorn Sport.

I will also be replacing my oem chrome appliqué with the painted ( Billet silver ) one that I just had done. Then the last front add on will be my Sport hood.

Thanks, much better. so when you're done only the bumper and horizontal lines in your grill will be silver, is that the idea? did you swap any other emblems for black ones?

I debadged the rear and added a black Ram on the tailgate.

Will add the black Oem bumper step and 5” black exhaust when I decide which one.

How did you remove the RAM grille letters?
Do you pry on them to snap them out?

Pulled the grill as I actually need those letters for a project that I’m working on.

They don't pop out with the grille on the truck?
Is it tough to remove the grille? I've done it on my 2016 RAM is it about the same?

Attached are instructions. But the front fascia pieces are tricky because of the tabs that insert to other parts.

After you remove the grill, you need to remove the section that holds the letters.

That looks like a lot of work, Im pretty handy but don't think id like to attempt that. Any idea what a shop would charge to do that?
