There is some strange logic behind the current batch that went D1 on 8/21. It looks like lots of Rambox trucks all moved at the same time. I suspect they have either secured or been gauranteed a shipment of Rambox components and promptly scheduled a batch of trucks. Mine is a 7/3 order and yet other Limiteds with older order dates (CalTex 5/21, YardSale 6/21, DALTON 6/18) are still new order status. Maybe it's related to batching by color. Mine is Billet Silver. I'm sure the May/June new orders will move soon.

I am in Houston area as well. I got mine at Ron Carter in Dickinson so it will go to the Pearland railyard.

Shoot me a PM with your contact info (and a good time to reach you) if you can and we can discuss and compare trucks.

Well, the third time was not a charm either. So far delivery was promised last week of June, then July, and last week I was told the truck would be loading and shipping on 8/21. Guess what! MOTS still shows the truck at the Budd Yard. Dealer said his computer shows KZP status in transit but he has been wrong before.
What exactly is KZP status? If it means transit then why would it still show as being in Budd Yard? Could it just be in transit to another storage yard?
KZ-P - Arrived Ship - Thru Body Vendor (Is this a body shop? Is it a shipping prep area? This is a confusing code)
KZ codes always mean in transit but doesn't mean its really in transit and in your case in KZ-P its not in transit. KZ-P means your truck will be shipped form the body vendor not the factory. Therefore its sitting in a parking lot waiting to be shipped

You know, I wonder if Ram/FCA would be open to a vendor approaching them with an unsolicited new technology proposal: "Hey FCA, your vehicle tracking technology is abysmal, we'd like to sell you XYZ solution and integrate it with your current systems."

I use a combination of logistics and inventory management software for my businesses and, while mine are all small businesses, my understanding is that the particular software I use can scale pretty much indefinitely. Very user friendly and it has the capability to let customers track orders at every step of the process from the order being placed (I don't have that feature enabled, but it does exist). And it's not like the software I'm using is the *only* one out there that can do all this stuff...
