I bought a 2019 ram 1500 crew cab 4x4 with 5.7 engine in May. It has had a bumping noise in the front end from the first week. It had a dealership installed leveling kit when I purchased it. The left a arm also started popping this week like it was binding up. The dealership has already replaced the sway bar and end links. This didn’t help the problem!

Take it back to them!

I'm not trying to sound like the curmudgeoned old man here, but what is the internet going to do for you in this scenario?

We could point out, what we feel, are the most likely causes...but are you going to get under there and look at it? I wouldn't feel the need to suggest that if you've already paid for a professional install.

Regardless, take a look underneath for things that may not be seated fully or look out of place. There are 100+ 10 minute videos on YouTube for adding a lift to this truck. In 10 minutes you could know every major part to the front end suspension on these trucks. Not to seeing how everything should look post install.

Ok if they don’t figure out anything this trip to dealership I will contact you for help. The dealership is in a area where most of the road a in good condition. My hometown has older streets with rougher patches of road.

Took my 2019 (1200 miles on truck) to “recommend by dealership” shop to have it leveled. This is the shop they use to trick out all their trucks. Picked it up and I heard clunking noise on the drivers side front when I got close to home (about 8 miles). Looked in fender wells and notice that they trimmed the wheel liner close to the top of the shock mount area. The drivers side is not cut as high as the passenger side and that’s the side the noise is coming from. I’m gonna let the shop figure it out first thing Monday morning.

So my truck is making its fourth trip back to the dealership for the bumping noise in the front end. Took these pictures today. Something looks off on this lower control arm!

Try starting multiple threads on the SAME ISSUE,.......oh....you did...

For the past year I’ve been going to different dealerships and I still have that clunk. There’s also a weird noise that sounds like friction when I pull off at slow speeds, kinda like hitting the breaks on a car that’s been sitting for a while. Even went to 4WP told me it was fine but it doesn’t feel fine, the clunking hasn’t gone away and I feel like it’s gotten even worse!

I think I found the popping noise in the front end, more on the drivers side. If you push on your fender up by your headlight it pops. There is too much fender with nothing to support it in the back. When to hit bumps or go over a curb it pops and it makes you feel like it's the suspension. I'll try to get a video put up soon, and I also want to look for a way to fix (hate taking my truck to the dealership). For you guys chasing a popping noise in the front end, go and slightly push on the upper fender, driver's side, about 4" from your headlights.

Did you ever find a fix? I have a 20 Ram and from day one, when backing out of my drive way it pops.
