Mine is a quad also. I can't tell if it's only leaking on one side as both sides were wet and not sure if it just made it's way over. Either way, I assume the interior has to be gutted and all the carpet/foam replaced.

I'd have to look, but I don't think it could make its way over unless it went around the back seats or something. There are others that have had leaks around the back window area, usually associated with a crack in the trim around the rear window.

Also, if you have the pano sunroof, there have been issues with the drain tube grommets not being installed correctly. Check between the cab and bed for those grommets. Easy to see if they aren't installed properly.

Cheers

Seats weren't wet (rear) but I didn't check the rear floor. Will check that tomorrow. No sunroof on mine (I didn't want it in case it leaked... kinda ironic).

Mine seems to be leaking on the driver's side only. I haven't heard of any leaking on the passenger's side yet.

Cheers
Gerry

Recalls are usually only done when the manufacturers are forced to due to safety issues. This issue probably won't get escalated to recall status unless the possibility of mold issues can be escalated to a safety issue. I think this will be a case by case warrantee issue. I think the proper fix will be expensive and a cheap temp fix will be employed.

I'm wondering if this problem is quad cab only or both. Mine is a quad.

Cheers
Gerry

Quad cab only? Any incidents with crew cabs?

5/19 build.
I was hoping that by ordering late I could avoid some of these problems. I guess the factory still hasn't fixed the water leak problem.
However, everything else works, and the AC is more than adequate on my Ram!

Showed the Service Writer the video. She wants me to show the video to the service manager when I show up for my appointment on Monday.

Wonder how they are going to go about fixing it...

Cheers
Gerry

My rear window leaks! Dealership has attempted to fix 4 times! Replaced rear window assembly and 3rd light. They return it to me each time claiming they fixed it and when you put a hose on it its the same as it was before. NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL! How can the tech miss the leak when they hold the truck for an extra day each time to leak check it. Once they finaly fix it they are supposed to replace my carpet to get the mold out. Scared to death to let the dummies tear my interior out but it has to be done. There are alot of water leaks with these trucks! If you're reading this and currently shopping for one, Please check your carpets. Especially if the big mats are installed. The big floor mats are super nice but they masked the problem in my case. Lesson learned.

That's the main reason why my truck is being replaced - a leak somewhere in the front that no one is able to pinpoint. Every time it rains the floor puddles. It smells like an old wet towel now that was left in a gym bag for a week. Mold is a big concern. Water comes in easy but is never able to dry out before it rains again.

They never even offered to replace my headliner. They cleaned it twice.
My service advisor said he knew I wouldn’t want that stained headliner, they cleaned it initially but I could clearly see the water stain still so they replaced it without question. When they replace it they have to go through the windshield or the back window though so they have to replace that too as they say they can’t reseal the window properly. They went through my rear window since the windshield was hard to find.

Ugh. I love the truck but the AC issue has really bothered me. and now can still see the stain. So they had to replace the rear window?

Yeah they said once they removed the windshield or the back window the whole assembly had to be replaced due to them not being able to reseal them. Replaced the headliner, third brake light and rear window under warranty.

Meanwhile my dealership has removed and reinstalled the same defective rear window 2 times and it still leaks. They can't understand why lol. You can't fix stupid.

Oh I forgot to mention that the glass guy scratched my paint on both sides of my bed. And despite me providing a very specific complaint about the ANC humming noise and asking them to perform the TSB they failed to fix that as well. I would like to punt and start over with another dealership but this crew owes me too many repairs (carpet-scratches). Ram Care I will take your offer! Make it right please.

That’s tough. My service dealer did right by me for sure. They never hesitated to fix any issue I have. They have an entire new dash at the dealer for me now because they scratched my dash leather at some point while having it and I don’t know if I want them to have to replace my entire dash or not

What alerted you to a problem? Did you notice your drivers side carpet wet? Did you check the passenger side? What were the test results for the passenger side?
I was alerted when I was going to vaccum mine last winter and found the carpet frozen stiff. Both sides. Took it to the garage 4 times and they had it a total of 4 weeks.

I went and visited the truck today. It was in a body shop with the front fender removed. They did a nice job of applying seam sealer to a joint that was way forward of where the water was coming in as well as it was below the bottom of the windshield. They said they will water test on Monday.
If not watertight, they will remove the windshield.

They didn't say they tried pouring water on that joint before sealing it to see if it could be the source of the leak...

We will see, but I think they will have to pull the windshield...unless maybe my understanding of gravity is wrong.

Gerry
