Any one have any experience with Pedal Commander and Pulsar and could recommend one or the other? Would ideally like better performance AND better gas mileage.

Pedal commander will only give you better throttle response. Pulsar will give you performance and/or better gas mileage, depending on the setting used. It also has the benefit of being able to change settings for different tire sizes and gears if that matters to you

I seen people complaining about pulsar

The people that have had problems with the Pulsar were improper install and/or grounding. That has been well documented. But....people complain about everything

I use a Vitesse Throttle Controller.
I’ve used this brand on previous Gm and Mopar vehicles.
$175 as well. Saves cash for the same thing.
9 sport modes and 7 Eco modes.

I can’t comment for Pulsar, too many bad reviews that I’ve seen that keeps me from it. Albeit not an alarming amount but just enough.

As @danny1305 stated above...apples and oranges as they both do totally different things. I have the PC myself and LOVE it and highly recommend. The Pulsar does have issues and it's not just grounding and must be removed before going to the dealer where the PC does not. Driving with the PC makes me feel like I have a Pulsar as the get up and go is amazing and throttle lag is 100% eliminated!!!

Yeah I had 2 of them worked great for about 2 weeks and then started making my truck go into limp mode. Took them off and truck ran great. Sent it back and got my money back. Going to get the Diablo Tuner now. Had one on my 2016 and never had a problem with it and get a custom tune and you'll love it

The PC will not cause your truck to go into limp mode but the Pulsar will

Pedal commander gets your hemi where you want it. It has plenty of power from factory the only thing it needs is response which it gives you. The pulsar imo seems a little too glitchy to use on a brand new truck BUT it does add horsepower cause performance mode was crazy.

Now you can get the Diablo Tuner which is a much better devise.. I'm going to buy the extra pcm. It's a little more but I can put back in the original one when I have to take it back to the dealership. That way they don't update and lock me out.

Where is this documented?

Well I had 2 of them and I grounded it between the PCM and the nut that the bolt screwed into. And that's a much better ground than putting the ground wire in the plastic casing of the edge pulsar. And I tried it the way they said do it. And still threw my truck into limp mode.. But that was when they first came out. But a piggyback isn't as good as a tuner.

Typically all tuners allow the option to return to stock so why buy another ECM??? Just return to stock before going to the dealer. Still far easier than dealing with a Pulsar!

Because all you have to do is swap out the pcm and when the dealership is through put the modified one back in. Then you don't have to reinstall your tunes.

If this is the same as what I have used in the past, swapping out tunes is far easier then swapping a PCM with less risk. Just MPO

I had the Pulsar. Did work great for a few weeks. Truck suddenly went into limp mode. I took it off for a while, truck was fine. I put it back on, made sure grounding was correct, and again went into limp mode after about 2 weeks. I'm done with the Pulsar and added the Pedal Commander. No issues. I also like having more adjustments then the Pulsar.
