OEM wheel to wheel side steps on 6'4 bed.
As mentioned, plenty out there as mentioned if you have the 5'7 bed. Not so many out there with the 6'4 bed.
For me essential as I have chronic back/leg issues. That 22 inch step down vs having the sidestep there at 13 inches makes world difference. If you have others/passengers that can't easily pull self up and in or the butt slide out--worth it. Speaking of the butt slide, will save some on where/tear of seat, long term.
At 5'8, it also helps me get into the bed when trying to reach something, thus I chose the the wheel to wheel so functional it helps and I like the chrome look.
Agree with other post, since you really don't like the look, to save up and get the AMP so you really don't see them except when they are needed.
I am surprised that a company has not popped up yet with power steps for around $600ish, they would definitely get a share of the pie out there---supply & demand. Heck even the AMP's at around $1100ish that is still some serious profit per set sold even after R&D (already done) overhead cost etc...I am thinking their cost per unit/set to make is $2-300 rest profit. <---the reason they won't sell them cheaper is because really no competition at this point for power steps...Ugh same reason most of us don't pay by the minute for cell phone usage anymore because others got in the game and brought the prices down to earth...sorry I digressed. Good luck with your search bowtechbob!!!
