I would get a 8,000 or 8,500 lb hitch ball if it is a 2" ball needed and a 10,000 lb or more hitch..... unless the ball is 2- 5/16" then 10,000 minimum for both.
Thank you!! Would I need to get a wdb?

Does your trailer have surge brakes or electric? There aren't many WDH's out there that will work with surge. Also, I would contact the manufacturer of your trailer to see if a WDH is even recommended since it puts added stress on the tongue.

This works with surge brakes. Used it when i had an 8500lbs+ boat and a Ram 2500.

I've made a few upgrades over the years.

Starting with my 2009 Ram Sport pulling a 17' Maxum. Installed some Airlift 1000s on the back. 5spd, stock drivetrain.

Then I picked up a 2000 Moomba Outback, 21' boat, going to guess 3500lbs or so wet with trailer.

Then we just recently upgraded to a 2019 Laramie Sport Crew. I have yet to drive with it yet, since I'm deployed. But my wife loves it. Backup camera helped her a lot to backing up to it, and plenty of oomph to tug this thing around. I'm going to see how she handles with a full bed of camping gear and a loaded boat, to see if I want to add some Timber Groves or not.

Also, has anyone had success in adding the OEM Trailer Camera that is offered for the 2500/3500?

Both boats and trailers around 5300lbs. 19' bayliner 197 and a 25' pontoon with a 150hp outboard. Tows very nice with 3.92 tow package! 11-13mpg at 45mph cruise control full of passengers with pontoon

Looks interesting, other than a submarine what is that?
It's a 1/16 scale model of the USS Columbus (SSN-762), a Los Angeles class attack submarine. The submarine veterans group I belong to owns it and uses it for parades. As the guy with a nice new truck I got tapped for pulling duty this morning.

JJRamTX, you did much of what I'm thinking to do on a 1500 Limited. Give us a consolidated listing of the specifics like source, part number, etc for the skid plates (did you buy from the dealer and let them install?), the LED lights, mud flaps, bike holders and the 12" screen protector. I'm surprised you don't have a cover yet.

What's the Tazer DT done that you couldn't live without?

Do they even offer an offroad package for the Limited with air suspension?

Added: Skid Plates, K&N, Window tint, Wheel and spare tire locks, LED third brake light and upper cab bed cargo lights, 12" Screen Protector, vanity visor lights replaced with LED, Hood Aero Bug & Rock Deflector, WeatherTech Mudflaps Front and Rear, Tazer DT, Inno Velo Gripper Bike holders. **Oil Catch Can project next**

I got the skid plates from AllMoparParts.com Part #82215267 (Transfer case) and Part #82215265 (Front Suspension). I installed them myself as they are very easy (4 bolts each already has the threaded holes on the underside of the truck and took about 20 Minutes)
My truck had the LED light package so I just installed the Visor Vanity mirror LED https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SH346D4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and the CHMSL LEDs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D1FVK93/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 so all my lights on the Truck are LED.

My mudflaps were the Weathertech ones that are 4 screws each that are also already threaded so they are easy to install.

Since I use my truckbed for all kinds of hauling it is lined with the factory liner, a tonneau cover would get in the way.

The bike holders are here https://www.etrailer.com/Truck-Bed-Bike-Racks/Inno/INRT201.html

My 12" screen protector was a piece of cake to install also https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CM2HXFJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My Tazer DT does 5 things I can't live without now that I have them.
1. Any Camera view on all the time on the 12" screen (no timeout)
2. Ability to type in addresses on Navigation while driving
3. Ability to change Daytime Running lights to Fog/Low Beams/Amber light bar (blinker)
4. Window roll down or up from Key Fob
5. Fog lights stay on with switch to High Beams

I don't know if they offer a Offroad Package with the Limited but I love the ability to adjust my clearance on the fly.
