What version of uConnect are you running on 12"?

I picked my Limited up late last week (4/25/19).
Software: 18.45.40
Application: USA-SBX-12.1-NR-28.1.0-20181108-N0G1
BootMicro Version: 18.44.01
EQ Version: 4.1

Do you have the 12” screen?

Oh snap! Hopefully an OTA coming soon. Notice anything different? Does the live search in the NAV work?

"....notice anything different...." - can't say as it's all new to me.
"....live search in NAV...." - not sure what this means? Can I search for restaurants, shops, etc. Yes, I can.

Sure, I can take a picture. Of what, the NAV screen?

when you go into NAV and search in the top bar.... can you take a pic of that screen. there should be a symbol for cellular data. ours have a circle around them with a slash though it meaning its not live data. then when you search it says offline. the newer software is supposed to make that live. I'm curious what yours does.

Still learning all the features. Doesn't appear to have live search.

I was told today to take my 2019 Limited to get a software update.
Version 21.8

I’ve had every issue you can have with my 12 inch screen. Hope this works!

I'm having the same issue with "offline" symbol and can't even find addresses 2 miles away at times.

Then out of the blue it will find addresses when typing them in.

8/18 build and I did see an OTA update several months ago. Didn't know how to get into dealer mode to get this info before the last update.

Here is my screen info:

FYI - If anyone is interested in the latest navigation update and why it is not more current.

We apologize again for the inconvenience this has caused. The latest map update version that we have for vehicles up to year 2017 is V10, which is version 2018 that was released in October 2018. This is what the 2019 models should be up to date with for maps. However, we can't guarantee anything whether these updates are compatible with 2019 models since we were not provided any information from Dodge/Ram for these vehicles. For more information, your nearest authorized dealership will be able to contact Dodge/Ram directly to determine if this is accurate.

If you need additional assistance, please send us your feedback by replying to this email.

Kind regards,
HERE Technologies
Customer Service
This sheds a little light in things. Have been going to your site to check off an in about seeing if I have the most current database.

Went in again just now and I get the continual loop taking me back to the FCA branded page with no way to check.

WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT MAP UPDATES: Absolutely nothing.
Everybody has file "Content_NA_HM_1702", which seems to mean "North America / HERE Map / version 2017 February". If that is the map version that everybody has the data is likely from 2016.
In the post above, HERE Technologies mentions version "10" from October 2018, but there is no way to relate their version nomenclature to Ram's. But then HERE says they have no idea which version Ram actually is using even though Ram is their customer.
The Uconnect folks certainly have no clue about this.
Will Ram supply map updates and havigation software updates to bring us up to at least 2019? No one knows. We DO know that the earlier OTA (over the air) update system has been disabled (per a conversation with Uconnect customer service), and that the only way to update anything is at a dealer.
Does a dealer have any insight into this? The enthusiasts on this forum have access to all the Ram dealers in the country, and none have reported any progress with either map or Nav software updates. Therefore it would be madness to expect your own dealer to somehow have expertise that the rest of the country doesn't have. What a RaMoparUconnectSiriusXMGuardian mess. . . .

Can someone tell me how to check software version please? I cannot remember how to do this.

Just bought a limited with the 12" screen and 19 speaker HK system. We test drove a Laramie with the same system and it sounded great. I turned the stereo on in the Limited before we left and it worked, but later that evening we went for a drive and I noticed that the bass in mine is way overpowered and I have to turn it down to zero. Sounds "bumping" with modern pop, but for classic rock it sounds bad and then sometimes it sounds ok, but it just doesn't seem to be "right". It sounds like I have a loud boombox from the 80's playing in there. Just loud and not pleasant.

The truck was apparently built in October of 2018.....real brand new apparently. ;) I got a great deal so I'm not complaining.20190620_200112.jpg

Here is my system info:

Am I just being critical or is there something to this? My build date just falls outside of TSB 08-123-18 (Jan-Aug 2018). I mean it's not like I started searching for things to whine about with my new truck; its noticeable enough that I was specifically looking for poor audio performance.

I have an appointment for next week with my dealer; I'd like to know if I'm wasting everyone's time or if I should expect an update.

Thanks!

The TSB turns the bass way up, so It sounds like your build is "proper". I like the update over the low volume of the previous build, but there was definitely a little quality and refinement lost when the update was performed. I agree with most around here, that there should be more than just a three band equalizer, especially with a dedicated sub.

Thanks for the response.

As for checking your software version, just press and hold the two outside icons on the bottom of the screen and then go to radio hardware information (or something like that). It's pretty simple.
