Are most people calling Lucas at truck alterations? I sent an email but haven’t heard back. I want to order and have things shipped so I can get started when I get back from vacation. Hard to call because of time difference.

I emailed [email protected] yesterday and he sent me a paypal invoice. I emailed him today and he sent me the tracking number. I purchased entirely through email.

Wow!!! That sounds phenomenal, and those are great videos. Thanks for posting them.

I wasn’t going to switch out the exhaust, but I definitely am now. Borla S sounds like the perfect balance of good meaty sound without the drone. Another expensive perusal through this forum!

Thanks,

B

I installed the Mopar mud flaps on my 19 Rebel. SUCH an easy install, and they look great. Pictures will follow tomorrow.

Love this truck!

I finally ordered a Lomax tonneau cover from Luke at Truck Alterations! Excited for it to get here. I probably won't get to the installation until next Thursday, but I'll be sure to take pictures and potentially an installation video.

Did some debadging as well, removed Ram emblem off the sides, blacked out the limited and 4x4 emblems from the back but what i have not seen yet was the blacking out the brushed section from the center of the grill. Also blacked out the side mirrors and the Ram on the grill (just the center section)
So got rid of quite a bit of chrome, so ill see how i still like it over time possibly black out even more.
Did some other stuff but will wait till my rims are in before taking final photos.

^^^. There’s nothing wrong with voicing your feelings, it’s not like you’ve singled one member out about this. I can not stand the side steps on my Laramie, but as long as I’m married on they will stay lol.
I wanted some drop steps but the wife disliked the fact she nor the kids could get in from anyplace other than one step "what of there is a patch of snow or a puddle?" So yeah, I got the factory power steps and still happily married.

You can put vinyl overlays on RAM grill letters quick and inexpensive. Lots of colors and even carbon fiber look. Check out www.ReflectiveConcepts.com.

Picked up Diamondback HD cover from FedEx Freight. Guy loaded it right into the bed and off I went. Install took me little over an hour because I did it myself and I'm short. A second person would make it easier. No drilling. Fit perfectly first try. For those that don't know about this top: both panels lock. it makes bed waterproof. it will hold 1600 lbs on top. you can add mounts to it like racks and a RTT. its double coated with Line-X that has UV coat. I've seem interior mods where folks add brackets to hold shovels, axes, hi-lift jacks etc... Its rock solid. Gas shocks make opening easy. And the panels are easily removed - one or both. And if you need to take the whole thing off - Two people would make the whole take off less than 10 min job - unscrewing the clamp nuts would take most time. Up next: Will add Mopar Cargo bed divider this weekend. The top and internal stainless steel locking bars or clamps don't interfere with the cargo rails. Then Frontrunner rack tracks, mounts and rack followed by RTT.

That looks awesome! I'm eagerly awaiting mine, which was supposed to ship today, but apparently has been delayed two weeks. Ugh. How long did it take to get yours?

Thanks,

Ordered night of April 8th. In production que and custom build April 9th - April 17th. Shipped April 18. Arrived at FedEx Freight April 23rd at 5am. FedEx Freight 15 mins from my house. Comes strapped to pallet. No damage. FedEx guy forklifted up to my truck - we cut the straps and slid the box only into bed. Giant box 70" X 45" X 18" FedEx guy kept the pallet. Doesn't extend off open tailgate but you need to have gate down. Strapped in. Picked up and installed by me April 25th. Wanted to pick and install on 23rd but stupid work got in the way. You need 7/16th and 9/16th ratchet. Knife and some pry bars help to lift up plastic trim for a second to get shims in. Also need a rag and some rubbing alcohol to clean up cab side top rail to stick thin neoprene strip to seal the uneven bed rail for waterproofness. Second set of hands to lift panels up and same person to push down on top when adjusting the locking bars so it compresses enough to keep water out. And if your are old like me - a step ladder and a moving blanket make things a little easier on the knees and back.

Awesome information. Thanks for the quick and comprehensive reply! I'm definitely looking forward to getting it in, as it looks fantastic. I'll definitely need that stepladder and moving blanket, too!

Thanks again for the great post!

That is sharp. I probably would have gone with this if I had known about it before I purchased the Extang Solid Fold 2.0.
