I had a 2021 1500 4x4 Laramie and caught a rock 1" from the top edge, sounded like a loud pop and next day had a 12" crack. Now my 23 ram 1500 4x4 Limited I must have caught a rock (that I didn't even hear) 1.5" below the top edge on wed. Fri went out to run to the store and have a 6" crack, so will have to get another windshield! These ram windshields are too thin now a days. Not to mention too many semis hauling dirt and gravel down highways, who have no cares about the damage they cause.I have a 2022 RAM1500 Limited and took a rock in the windshield on the highway while going about 75 mph. It immediately made a 4" Crack that over 2 days became a 18" Crack. I received a new RAM windshield. Then, this week while driving on the same I-75 I was hit with a rock and my windshield cracked again. The rock sounded like it was small, but it made a star shaped Crack in the windshield so here goes on windshield repla event #2. I'm wondering what specs are for the current windshields that RAM uses.
