Those of you who have 1700+lbs of payload, what's your year, engine, trim, options, and bed length? Thanks.

I'm looking to buy a used 1500 to carry a slide-in camper and tow my boat. I've calculated that I need a payload capacity of 1700lbs in order to carry the camper, my camping gear, and tow my boat (300lbs tongue weight, 2300lbs total). It seems like most 1500s don't have 1700lbs of payload. Which years/trims/options should I be looking for in order to meet my requirements? I've been trying to research this, but it's really hard to tell what I need to look for because every truck has a different max payload due to all the possible options it might have. I need a quad cab or crew cab, which unfortunately limits the payload a lot. I want a 6'4" bed, but could live with a 5'7"ft. Would like 4x4 too.

I did see this thread, and someone with a 2020 Big Horn has 1794lbs and another 2019 Big Horn has 1827lbs. Do most Big Horns have 1700+?

It’s not so much about the trim, it’s about all of the options that come with the truck (that add weight, which decreases available payload).
You’ll need to find a low-optioned Bighorn for sure.

1750, big horn, crew cab, level 2, 4x4, spray in bedliner. No sun roof or etorque, both which can add some weight.

The level 2 means its very nicely featured out as well.

Lower options equals more payload. Sun roof, and multi tailgate, lower the most. Short bed, and quad cab, will have higher than crew cab long bed. 4x4 lowers it, by the weight of the transfer case, the extra axle weight, is un-sprung weight, so it doesn't deduct from payload.

I’m at 1,878 LBS on the door sticker. 21 base bighorn quad cab 4x4 non E torque 5.7. The only options it has outside of the bighorn package are remote start and factory floor liners.

Not sure but someone else above has the exact same payload to the number.

I think it’s likely the highest payload you could get in a quad cab outside of a tradesman but I’m not sure even going to that would gain any since mine is essentially a tradesman with extra aesthetics.

Maybe the normal transfer case is a little lighter than the auto case in my truck.

I use payload heavily and frequently so it was more important to me than some creature comforts I’m missing (I also miss them).

I will say, the rear suspension on this truck handles max payload much much better than my 2010 1500.

I believe that was me and the only thing I have is the POS trailer steering that you have to recalibrate every time you use it and no 4X4

Interesting I’m the same in 4x4 as a 2wd. Here’s my sticker photo.
