Mods, can you create and stickey a wheel and tire thread. Something like stock 18” wheels have a +19.05 offset / 275/65/R18 Tires.

20’s etc.
22’s etc.

1” lift you can go up X” on tire size
2” lift you can up X” tire size
3.5”, etc.

Maybe have members contribute their changes and success and then add that info to the top post?

I see MANY questions all over the forum about tires and rims, I’ve made some myself and it would be nice to have a comprehensive stickied thread.

You are stuck

Please add max tire size for Air Ride with Off Road Package.

I added to the top post....of course looking for info from members.

I have the ORP on my truck (non air) so I know I can get a 33" under there without issue (stock is 32"). Someone posted somewhere (sorry, can't remember who) that they put the 2" Mopar lift on their Rebel and were able to squeeze 35's on it but did say it was very close for rubbing. Since a 2" Mopar Lift nets you 1" on the ORP or Rebel, this leads me to believe that a safe recommendation for a stock Rebel or ORP is 33" and YMMV with 34" depending on the width of the 34.

Anyone know the minimum wheel diameter for the 2019’s?

Almost pulled the trigger on 17x8.5” method NV’s (plenty of 4th gen’s run them) but a quick check behind my stock 18x8 wheels paused that plan: only about 1/8” clearance at calipers(!).

Looks like aftermarket 18”s might not even fit:

https://www.ramforum.com/threads/psa-18-wheels-wont-fit-on-the-limited.123563/

Of course I found the info AFTER I ordered 18” wheels & tires (deep breath).

I’ve talked to a couple people who sell rims and am being told that it comes down to the offset with 18s. Like Fuel Couplers for example I was told a 1 offset works but a 20 will not. Please let us know your results.
Well that’s some good news I guess. Ordered 18x9 -12os so in theory should be safe. Will report back when the wheels come in.

I have a set of 18x9 -12 offset fuels with 33x12.50 ridge grapplers from my old truck so I put them on to see if they would fit. The tire shop would have to be very careful balancing them as you can see the strap weights hit the caliper. They fit and do not rub on a stock 4x4 without the offroad package.

I'd look for a shop that can do what they call a 0 gram balance. The wheel weight they use for balancing is a flexible continuous strip that they cut to length depending on how many grams they need to balance the wheel as opposed to the individual 1/4 oz weight that most shops use. Its made by 3M and they have a lot of options for balancing here is a link to a you tube video about it.
, gm balances their factory wheels with it and there is one shop in town where I live that I know for sure has it. Make sure they test fit and rotate the wheel before driving off. It's probably going to be tough to get a 2 plane balance because they wont be able to put any weight along about the outer 2 inches of the interior edge. Depending on how aggressive the tires they may require quite a bit of weight to balance out. I didn't look at the clearance between the knuckle where the upper ball joint mounts and the lip of the rim but it may possible to use some old school lip weights or the 3M flange weight. It's really going to boil down to finding the right shop to get it dialed in.

For anyone thinking about keeping the factory wheels and adding wheels spacers to push the stance out a bit.

The factory stud length is 40mm or about 1-9/16" but ram did something fantastic at least on the 20x9 on my truck and they cast pockets between the stud holes that are 1-1/4" deep. Effectively allowing you to use spacers that are shorter than the studs and the remaining stud that sticks out past the spacer will nest nicely into these pockets. I'm looking at going this route because these factory 20's are so light about the same or less than most 18" after market wheels and depending on tire size a lot people running the 34 and 35 inch tires are adding 30 lbs of tire weight alone, after market 20's probably another 10 lb's. I weighed the factory 20x9 with the 275 55 20 at 72.3 lbs I'd be willing to be most of the aftermarket setups are pushing 110 lbs each. That's a lot of additional inertia to get moving as well as unsprung weight loading the tie rod ends and ball joints which gets even worse when running more negative offset. Just my 2 cents but the absolute best tire choice is the P rated 305 55 20 ridge grappler at 51.5 lbs on the factory 20 adds about 10-12 lbs per corner. Even with the additional weight of the wheel spacer the effect won't be as bad because the weight is concentrated near the axis of rotation.

Good looking out thank you (y). Had the self-balancing beads in a set of ko2’s on my old taco. They’d solve this clearance issue but I think they might have also been the source of some highway speed vibration I was having in the taco (they clump up if there’s moisture in the tire).

Those bumps on the outer edge of the caliper look like they might be extremely easy to delete. Just saying.

probably best to also add online websites to buy wheels like customoffset and elementwheels.com will actually gives you a thumbs up and tell you if the tire and wheel you chose will fit
