What's the smoothest & quietest 33" or 34" tire I can get on my stock 20's

Title says it all! I'm looking for the quietest & smoothest riding tire I can put on my leveled truck. can't decide 275-60-20 or 275-65-20 or 285-60-20. my stock duelers are starting to get worn and slip in the rain a lot, and they look small for the truck anyway.

had destination at's on my last truck, and even after balancing, I hated the empty passenger seat bouncing/vibrating while on the highway.

Don't get me wrong, ridge grapplers look insane, just might be a bit much for my goals.

I wanted AT's, but I also dont want to deal with that crap or the noise or feeling every bump.

Who's put tires on, and is picky, and is happy with their purchase?

Im curious to see replies on this too. I want to swap my stock tires to 285/65R20 ( i think) in an all terrain tire, but quietness is a must!

I swapped out the tiny factory highway tires on my 2019 Ram 1500 to 275/60 20 BFG KO2's and I love them! They grip awesome and look aggressive yet they have been very mild mannered on the road. I too thought about going to like a 285/60 20 or 275/65 20 but went with what i have due to using the truck mainly on pavement and the 275/60 being a D rated tire and not an E rated. I also have a Motofab 2" level on the front.

**** Cepeck trail exp has been the best aggressive AT I've owned. Very quiet, look great, perform great in rain, snow and mud...and I got 70k on my last set with nearly 50% tread left when I traded the truck in.

2nd pick for me is KO2s.

My 2019 North Edition came with 275/55/R20 Falken Wildpeak AT3 and I love these tires. My brother replaced his factory Toyos on his 17 Rebel with a 285/60 version and loves them. I just ordered a set of 295/60/20 for my truck. My dealer tells me they will fit without rubbing even though I have my doubts. North Editions have a 1” lift from the factory but I’m installing Rough Country 2” leveling coil overs and I hope that will help to avoid rubbing issues??? I’ve read reviews of guys buying 35s in the Wildpeak AT3s and said they are quieter, ride smoother and get better gas mileage than Nittos and MTs. My dealer is offering but 3 get one for $1 until the end of the month so I couldn’t turn that down. I wish I could fit 35s but I know those would rub and probably tear off my mud flaps. I’ll be surprised if I don’t have to cut some of my mud flap off with the 295/60s.

Just is what it is. Lot's of hwy miles and rotate every 5k. I have no need to exaggerate or lie. It is typical for me to get 75k out of every tire I use.

The smoothest and quietest AT tire that you can buy is probably the Continental TerrainContact AT. I don't have them, but they were #1 on my list. I'm just waiting for the factory tires to wear down.

Yes, will probably be going with these as well, my stockers will get through the summer but I will replace before next winter.

I see that you are in Cincinnati. The reviews for the Continentals in snow are not that good. I'm in Florida, so snow isn't really an issue.

The conti’s look nice; the atock alenzas aren’t great snow rated either, but I thought they were fine. Ridge grapplers just look so cool though. I really want 285-60-20 sizing but I’m nervous about the ride sucking with an LT. And I’m like if the ride is going to suck anyway, might as well get ridge grapplers. Then I just want to stick with 275-60-20 and stay in a P.
Or go for the ridges in the 305-55-20! Can’t decide !

Old ram pic.. I usually swap to these Cooper Zeon LTZ in 275/60/20. They are XL rated and in between sport truck and AT. Plenty capable while not ruining the ride. YMMV

I will say that I just installed the Falken Wildpeaks and I was very hesitant as I wanted the look of an all terrain tire and performance for when winter hits (ND) but also have three little ones and love the ride from factory (truck just 1 month old). I was nervous when I picked it up but couldn’t be happier. These grip the pavement and ride so nice...highly highly recommend! 275/60 20

Based off your response, I assume you misunderstood what I wrote? My brother’s Rebel came with Toyos and he never really liked them. They didn’t ride that well and were terrible in the rain. He put about 45,000 miles on them and replaced them with 34” Falken W/P.

Some have said it, but my go to for my last two trucks, and will be this truck once I have my first slip on these crappy stock Duellers, is Falken Wildpeak AT3W. They are the only A/T I have used, so cannot compair to others for anything other than price and tread depth/warranty. Very little road noise. More noise from my window guards than these tires and I think they look great. Sorry it's not a Ram, but this is what I traded for
