2 part question, your valued input needed quickly please:

I am only looking at a lot truck replacement for our 19’ Limited that we are selling. My localish dealer, Kville, has 150 trucks available and 5 quad cab Laramies that would work for us in the next garage…

The newest lot truck is a 10-2020 production date Laramie QC 4x2 (2021 model) and thus its been sitting somewhere for what, 7 months now? The other two that I was possibly interested in are 8-20 and 9-20 production dates. I’m a bit concerned about “lot rot” and all.

2nd question, their “dealer savings” are between $3 and $4K under list price, not counting any incentives. With all the shortages and not ordering, what do you all think? Should we just sell the Limited to Autonation and wait till December, or is the $3-4K savings about as good as I will get? (This is on a Laramie QC 4x2 which is admittedly a rarer bird, most Laramie's are CC).

Thanks!

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s wrong w/the 19 limited?

I ordered a Limited about a week ago and got $10K off MSRP before incentives (just my Tread Lightly discount.) But, I have to wait for it to arrive. Lots of people here did even better.

No ordering at the moment, for now it needs to be a lot truck.

You did well. Let peeps know where you ordered it from, unless you did that on the “prices paid” thread.

Around here most dealers are selling lot trucks at MSRP minus incentives. And doing invoice on orders. The few doing any discounts are 1000 to 3000. Except for a handful of dealers across the country this is the going rate. I second seeing if Mark Dodge has a truck on their lot you like.

My truck has a build date of 9/19 and sat till I bought it on 7/20/20 and it was fine, changed the oil when I got it but that's it; lot rot shouldn't be a concern.
With the way things are going, selling at MSRP isn't too far off and if the talking heads ae correct, these supply issues will remain through 2022

Same as a lot of folks here. Aaron at Mark Dodge in Louisiana. You might check their website. See if they have one you like?
Appreciate it. I did but they currently don't have Laramie quad cabs. None. Most dealers don’t, and I have to have the quad.

Why are you selling the 19? With things are going, selling at MSRP isnt too far off and if the talking heads ae correct, these supply issues will remain through 2022
Thank you for your response to the lot rot concern. Sounds ok then.
As far as the reason to sell, the current truck really doesn’t fit in the next house’s garage. Well, the garage is exactly 237” long and the Limited is 233.9”. (There’s also the metal rib on the bottom that is 3” deep, that sticks into the garage and isn’t included in the overall length.) How comfortable would you be with your wife parking the truck with 3” total clearance (and that metal rib)?
Full disclosure, she has closed the garage door on the back of it once already.

1% under invoice, then take off the incentives. even though inventory is low, but u may have to shop a few dealers. just cut right to it and let them know that's the deal and u can make this quick and out the door or just go down the street and buy, the right dealer will sale to you! oh and ask for the invoice so u know they are telling the truth. know your finances, so they can not play the numbers game. I took all the incentives financed at 1.9 % then refinance at my credit union and they will beat the ram loan by 2% so my loan will be 0% for up to 84 months but will go 72.

Mind sharing the CU? That’s their policy? They beat other auto loan rates by 2%?

My current 2 car garage is like that now with my wifes XF. Theres about 3-6 inches of clearance depending upon how far forward she goes in, I have a 2x4 strip on the floor for a stopping point but I'm not comfortable so I'm going to move the cabinet in from of the garage to the side so there's an additional 2 feet forward for her to pull in.
Are you building the house? Extend the garage

Doesn’t fit in the garage of the house we are buying.

Ah okay. Sorry, I must’ve missed that in your post originally. I’ve heard average is roughly 8-10k off average w/incentives. But people on here have done better. Paid $48,500 for my 8k mile used 19 1500 DT Laramie. For the truck situation, I thought that was reasonable.

Spec house
Current garage requires “kissng” the plywood nailed to the sheetrock.

I could go for the “50’s diner” look, you know the one where the ft bumper is hanging on the wall by where you sit? All it would take is cutting a few studs and sheetrock…

yes, they will beat any other car loan by 2%. my credit union is Pheples in westmoreland county PA

Possible to get a new double garage door with a flat back instead of the metal rib?
