After 23 years, I decided to let go of my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 5spd-MT 88k miles. Contacted Kars4Kids. They picked it up today.
It was my 1st brand new car.

Last Saturday, 10/5/2024, I picked up a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan with 70k miles. $11,760 OTD. First time buying a used car.

After 23 years, I decided to let go of my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Contacted Kars4Kids. They picked up today.
It was my 1st brand new car.

Last Saturday, I picked up a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan with 70k miles. $11,760 OTD.

I used to have one of those in green in h.s. With 18” msr wheels full bolt on’s did all the speakers and added a amp/box subs in the hatch and a pop up double din (it was period correct) fast and furious 1 type of vibe. Had misc mods like halo projector headlights smoked front turn signals and my first time smoking/tinting taillights. I loved that car to death. Sadly I was rear ended at a dead stop by an elderly lady in a tank Lexus suv and totaled the car and sent me and a friend to the e.r. And months of PT to follow.

Added another truck to the stable. 1999 Dakota R/T. Paid $1500 cash for it. The Mopar parts under the hood are worth more than that.

Done some work to thisjone since May. Finally got the title and got it registered last week. Bonded title application process takes a while to get everything together.

New front bumper off a Dursngo in junkyard. Re-did intake manifold cause it was leaking coolant. Coolant in it was almost black did to negligence flushed coolant, new water pump, did some work to transmission because it didn't want to make the 2-3 shift, rebuilt front end with polyurethane bushings, new ball joints, new front brake rotors, pads, and calipers, bigger trans cooler, new radiator because it developed a pinhole leak, new fuel pump, swapped the 2.5" duals exhaust from my other Dakota on to it, since it would be too small for new motor in my other Dakota. Did a custom HPTuners tune on it. Ran it at drag strip, rannit on a road course.

gotta browse for stuff i can't afford on company time LOL

BAT is more of like for high end stuff while CNB is mostly everyday enthusiast stuff
occasionally CNB got some cool/ rare stuff but it's not THAT common to happen. that's also where a lot of youtube channel go sell their cars (Throttle House, Hoovie, etc)

BAT is more of like for high end stuff while CNB is mostly everyday enthusiast stuff
occasionally CNB got some cool/ rare stuff but it's not THAT common to happen. that's also where a lot of youtube channel go sell their cars (Throttle House, Hoovie, etc)

BAT is a great site to look at when you have tens of thousands that you shouldn't be spending. Lots of Jeeps get sold on there when people get sick of them and/or can't afford the maintenance anymore. Then they cry that the next guy ruined their perfect creation.

I wasn't looking for a high end / project car. I just wanted a work commuter to replace my 23yr old Mitsubishi. I still have the Ram and my wife has a 2012 Pathfinder.

But now I hate you for introducing me to these sites

There will be one less in my garage soon.....x3m is now for sale. If anyone has interest let me know. No official listing yet. Need to clean it up and take some pictures. 43k miles, no mods, BMW warranty till November 2025 unlimited miles. Should have the title in 2-3 weeks.

It bugs my wife and I. She likes to let me know when people on social media use 'wondering' and 'wandering' incorrectly.

Example: I heard some loud noises and wandering if they were gunshots. Or There is a stray dog wondering around the neighborhood.

Also this tidbit regarding brakes vs. breaks from one of my friends:

What is with everyone calling/spelling car brakes "breaks"? Is there something new i don't know about in 2024 that makes brakes identify as breaks now? A very common mistake (more common that saying it correctly): issue. There's no 'h' in issue. It's not 'ish' 'you', it's 'is' 'you'
