What did you do to your Ram today???

How are they? I thought about buying them or the whole set for truck
Not sure how to explain it, but I'm very happy with the sound. It's like it cane alive. Very crisp and clear. Not sure that I got more volume out of them, but I'm so satisfied with these. Not sure about the Harmon Kardon system.

This thread should require a pic to post up.

Ironic post is ironic.

I dunno about you, but I'm not taking a pic of everything I do. It's 2,090 pages long thread, I'm not exactly expecting constant on topic talk lol.

Anyways, I changed the oil recently and I'm noticing A LOT of ticking. Like, it's LOUD when it's idling. I never really noticed it this much before, maybe because it was colder? I'm a little worried. I'm already skeptical of 0w-20 and typically I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum but I bought some cheaper Pennzoil Platinum stuff and it's definitely louder. I ran some Valvoline restore and protect in there last time and it seemed decent, but it's also very expensive. For the cost I can almost just run Amsoil in it.

And here I am just trying to be excited about the new piece of plastic I put on my hood lol

lol. I totally forgot but I currently have a Weathertech one on that is a bit weird in the center. I sent both the AVS ones I got back.

On that topic, I also tried 4 brands of window deflectors lol. The Mopar ones, specificlaly the rears, were awful because the clips prevented my window from closing all the way and scratched the hell out of it. Also misaligned with one of the plastic plugs and would have leaked there too. Then I think I tried some random cheapo depo ones and those I didn't even bother trying with. Then some Weathertech ones and they fit all wonky in the rears, almost like I had the opposite sides in but they weren't. Then finally some Goodyear rear ones that fit fine. So Mopar in the front and Goodyear in the rear lol.

Effing plastics. I've had an absolutely terrible experience with that stuff on this truck where previously if I had an issue it was just one thing and a return solved it.

Would you say this is an upgrade to the Harmon kardon o.e. Speakers??
I personally think the HK system is flat sounding, like the Alpine system. I know when I had the Alpine system and upgraded, it definitely made a difference. Many go Infinity, like I did before, but I'm wanting change up and going AudioControl.

I MIGHT even swap the rear surrounds with AC as well. I have to look into how much of a PITA they are to change. In my Grand Cherokee I replaced the very rear speakers and noticed the difference as well with that Alpine system, so I would think this would be the same. Just is it worth a major pain to change... haha

Some shut off their surround, while people like me enjoy it on. Some also shut off their center channel or never replace it, but only the two outer dash speakers.

Scratched the passenger rear door on a brick wall towing a roller project car into place.

I literally felt sick to my stomach. Taking it to the body shop Monday. It's just cosmetic but I've been so careful with the truck. :(

I had real issue with the Harmon Kardon system when I first bought my 19’ Limited. I would complain about it all the time when in for service. Dealer always said nothing abnormal. Finally one day, I came across a TSB on it. (might even have been on here) I showed the dealer service dept. They had never heard of it so they ran the fix.
Man…what a difference! Brightened everything up and increased the base and volume.
For me, now, it’s not worth the effort and cost of swapping out speakers, subs or amps. It has plenty of oomph enough to rattle the change in my consul.
I’m alright with the cars 3 rows over not listening and singing along LOL😎

Years ago I did update on the Alpine system and it actually was worse. LOL Some songs sound good, then others crap. I'm installing an amp and subs, since I have them from previous already. I'm trying not to do the doors, but I know myself and will eventually say FK it!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I notice there’s a big difference between FM radio, Sirius/XM, USB recorded music and CD in that order. CD being best.

Same here. It's either XM or Prime Music from my phone. With the tinnitus and loss of hearing, my Alpine system sounds pretty good 😁

I did this today.
Gotta work on fine-tuning the mic. I think the GT exhaust caused it to clip a little  Picked it up used off of Marketplace. PO swapped it out for an ATAK system.
