What did you do to your Ram today???

Installed my running board lights and my Cab lights from Cab Over America a few days ago.
Running board lights were 60 inch bed strips from Amazon.
Ran passenger side up firewall, routed to the driver side through the provided plastic conduit under the cowl. Driver side is right up the firewall, and both strips connect to the Y connector just before going into the grommet in the firewall.
Lights are fused and tapped into the footwell light and goes on with door open or door unlock with key fob. Thanks to another thread that pointed out the wiring. It came out way cleaner than expected, and am super happy with the result.
The cab lights were quite straight forward on the install, may have gone faster had i had help to spot from the front.
No sunroof, so made it even harder. Lay on roof, go back down, go back up, go back down...etc etc...
Love the look, had cab lights on my 04, even drilled the 15 holes to install them. Just didn't have it in me this time, but wanted the look. Is it worth the price? Ask me after they crap out. For now, what's done is done and I think it looks cool! Will not disclose to my wife how much i paid for them. She thinks it looks cool like my old truck, and that's all that matters. The less info, the better.😁
anyways, some pics from the install.
You need a tazer to have a lightshow.

How did you get it through AAFES? That’s awesome. I work for MCCS, may have to look into this.

From the main website, you go to the marketplace, then the auto parts specialty store, from there I just searched Hellwig 7709 and it came right up, and it arrived at my house in just a few days.

I have tried on 3 different computers and my iPhone. I can get to the auto parts specialty store, I login, but any link I click returns a blank page. I assume it's like the rest of the AAFES online and is included with Veterans access.

Can you use the search bar on the auto parts store? That's all I did.

Installed my Hellwig sway bar this afternoon. I never had any complaints with the handling on my Rebel, but after a short test drive it seems to handle much better. Easy to install and if you eligible to shop at AAFES, they have it for $196.
Please attach a link. I've searched the https://www.aafes.com/exchange-stores/ website several different ways. Please help. That's an awesome deal. I even tried to use their SHOP BY VEHICLE , but the newest year it allows is "2017".

I put screenshots a couple posts up, the links wouldn't work, probably because it wants you to log in. I had to get into the auto parts store and put it in the search bar.
Yup, got the same result as others. Passed eligibility, created my profile, clicked on Marketplace, clicked on Auto Parts store, searched Hellwig, Hellwig 7709, sway bar, etc. Site only opens a blank page.
There may issues with site, because every link I click on opens a blank page. At least when in the search bar, it populated Hellwig when I began to type it. But then it pauses and then loads a blank page. Will continue to try, because that is one excellent price for that sway bar. Appreciate the share, nonetheless.

Does anybody know if when you mount the OEM integrated trailer brake controller, does it actually have to be mounted to its bracket where they want I mounted? All
My after market stereo wiring and ampro are right where it needs to go. I really don’t want to move it all.

You wont have to perminatly move your wiring most likely, the brake controler is similar in size to the blank plastic cover that sits there in its place. You might have to move your wiring to get the plug to the controller but youll probably be fine. I did the brake controller myself a while ago and It did not seem to intrude into the space behind it much more than that blank plastic cover does. Only way to know for sure though is to give it a shot. Hope that helps :)

What did you use to activate it? I have the Alfaodb. We will see if I can figure out how it works.

Quick easy mod, found this at Oriely for 10 bucks for a 20ft roll. Measured, cut, rounded the corners, prepped with alcohol, and stuck it. Adhesive is very strong, get it right the first time.

After a couple years, this is where the majority of scratches were.

This stuff is great, not that 80 grit sandpaper crap. Feels like a bedliner. Don't think I'd buy it for grip, but for this application, it'll work great.
