Beautiful day today so took a drive after work.
I have llumar air80 on mine with about an 8 inch 5% brow and like it. I probably could’ve done a 50% and been fine with it too now that I’ve had this for a while.Besides, it is illegal in your state. Does anyone have any pictures or reviews about having your windshield tinted at 80%-70% ceramic (clear) OR 50% ceramic (tinted)?
How has that plastidip on the hot tailpipe worked out? Does it get hot enough to damage the finish or has it lasted well?Just a small change today. Plasti dipped the tail pipes.

So the rainbow effect depends on the ceramic tint as well because my ceramic tint doesn’t cause that rainbow effect.I can't speak for doing it on my 1500, but on my F150 I had before this (I know...) I had the fronts tinted at 15%, rears at 20%, and then I decided to get my windshield ceramic tinted at 40%. I had it that way for about 3 years and I never had any issues with tickets or being pulled over. I loved the look of it, and it helped a ton with heat and also minimizing the effect of bright a** headlights of oncoming traffic. The only thing that I didn't exactly love was the fact that looking through the tinted windshield with my polarized sunglasses on gave everything a rainbow-ish effect that took a bit of time to get used to. I also think that the ceramic in the tint affected the sensitivity of my radar detector slightly but not enough to be a game changer. This would be the case whether you go for a tinted film or not.
I did the same tint percentage around my new 1500 but have not done the windshield yet. I do still plan to do ceramic 40% again since I'm totally used to the rainbow effect by now, but I just need to find a shop that will do it on the new RAM's correctly to keep water out of the electronics in the dash.
I absolutely love my LASFIT rear cargo and brake lights. The interior LED replacements and night and day compared to stock as well. I have done my entire truck, with exception to the glove box and floor lights under the steering wheel.- Lasfit LEDs for the rear cargo lights and third brake light. Was temporarily blinded but permanently satisfied.
- added a screen protector
- also purchased and installed the rebel applique that goes on top of the grille. I had originally painted my chrome one to satin black but it’s chipping badly and scratches easily, as expected, so I went for a more permanent solution.
I have not had any issue with my LASFIT lights. That is an interesting issue.Great I will check it out!!! I also have the lastfit bulbs as well but for some reason the 3rd brake light was causing interference with my Key fob and my truck wouldn't start with the key fob in my pocket. I had to change that back to the stock bulb however, the cargo lights causes no issues so I'm happy.
Yea I know !! It’s so weird . the cargo lights work fine but the 3 rd break light was the issue. Some people on here have had the same issue. so randomI have not had any issue with my LASFIT lights. That is an interesting issue.
I had an issue with the luyed 3rd brake light. Ended up going with diode dynamics and no issues but they sent me the upgraded cargo lights and I’m not a fan. No leds in the tip so you can see dark circles in my tinted 3rd light coverYea I know !! It’s so weird . the cargo lights work fine but the 3 rd break light was the issue. I installed both cargo and third brake lights (Lasfit) at the same time so I don't know which one (maybe both) is causing the fob issue. No more of a PITA than the constantly changing screen theme though. Ironically, these were recommended as error free.Yea I know !! I have had it for 2 days and I have to say it is the best purchase I have ever made. I previously had bought a borla street exhaust but took it off the same day because like you I just wanted some nice growl when I put my foot into it. But now with the S&B... It is exactly like stock until you get too 3300rpm but then you get such a ice deep growl and noise that doesnt sound fake or anything at all. Really makes it fun to drive when you want it to be.. I also noticed smoother and easier drive going up my long hill to my house and I used to sit at 2800rpm (3.92gears) but with the intake I consistently stay below 2500rpm. I could not believe how perfect of a mod it is for the extra sound I was looking for and the little extra oomf. Trust me.. You will love it.Is the S&B worth it for the sound? Not looking for huge gains, just a nice growl...
Nope I have llumar air80 on my windshield and have never noticed it when I wear my polarized ray bans. Maybe different shades wouldInteresting... Even with polarized glasses you don't get it? All my film is/was Llumar.
Which wire did you tap to have the running board LEDs turn on with the door? I mean which color and in what location did you tap the "factory bed lighting wiring"? In rear door sill on driver's side and then again passenger side, or did you run them to the fuse box?I Added extra LED bed lighting and LED Running board courtesy lighting with Amber sequential turn signal. I tapped into the factory bed lighting wiring for the white lights. So now the bed & running board lights light up when the door opens, tailgate opens, or when I press the unlock button from the key FOB. I ran wiring from the running board to the Curtis trailer wiring adapter that I used for the OPT7 tailgate triple light bar for the Sequential turn signal to work on the running boards.
Going to change the cargo light to LED next
