Because there is such a thing as too much chrome, well, for most people, not including the owner of the truck below. The limit lies within the eyes of the beholder. In my opinion, properly placed chrome or black accents can make a vehicle look great, whereas too much can make it look gaudy or cheap. My max steel sport package with limited 22s has just the right amount of painted/chrome bits in my opinion. Not too much to shine in your face, but just enough to catch your eye. I personally think the non-sport 5th gen trucks with the big chrome grills/headlights/etc look great too.Not that it matters, but I just wish I could understand this almost rabid obsession with dechroming everything. If nothing else so I can make sure whatever is warping ya'lls minds I can avoid! LOL

At least for me I got the Limited because I like really nice things (maybe it makes me feel successful) but I I would rather be outside reflect me as a person (which is NOT shiny and chrome)

the octo-exhaust system is a bit over the top....but fortunately, the owner's knowledge of down-force and use of wings will keep his truck planted firmly on the ground.Because there is such a thing as too much chrome, well, for most people, not including the owner of the truck below. Took it to a tint place to have it redone due to specs trapped under the film...turns out those specks are embedded into the cab side of the windshield from the manufacturer. Also my turn signals now activate my panic alarm and my radio has been playing dual audio sources at the same time

Same for me, I liked the Limited trim but there was no chance I was buying/paying for that trim and getting stuck with the chromed out look from 2005 and the paisley interior accents. To each their own, just wasn't for me. What I wish Ram did offer is the Rebel without the red interior, that's just over the top to me.That's why I bought a Laramie with basically all the options. It's the same as the Limited I would have bought - but without all that chrome.
The fact that you cannot buy a Limited (at least, for '19) without chrome mirrors and a chrome grill surround was just ludicrous, to me. If I am buying the most expensive version, I should have the option to have the mirrors and grill surround be body-colored, just like I can on a Laramie. Everybody has their own tastes, but I think body-colored paint looks a little more classy than chrome. Not having that as an option on the most expensive trim level is beyond my understanding.

Well, it was yesterday, I finished bolting everything in and back together on my stereo upgrade (5,000 watts). It was probably 60+ hours of work, happy to have it done!View attachment 34815
Made a detailed post:
5,000 Watt stereo upgrade from 8.4 6-Speaker non-nav | 5th Gen Modifications/Accessories
First off, I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed their own stereo projects and pictures on this forum - without this resource the project would have been much more difficult to plan and execute. In particular the posts of what to expect behind the backseats, in the door panels, etc...5thgenrams.com
