What did you do to your Ram today???

just letting you know, 3 out of 5 friends of mine who run Tazer on their FCA products and use functions that require Tazer to be hooked up full time ended up having electrical gremlins.
one had his jeep died completely on a steep off camber trail and had to unmarry the thing and unplug it at the worst spot ever just to get it to drive normally again.
another one was getting all kinds of electrical issues, ranging from flashing D on the shifter in a mountain pass to loss of power on the freeway on separate occasions. I checked all his wiring harnesses (he previously had one of those powered steps and I removed for him and reconnected all the stock wiring harnesses) and told him to unmarry and remove his tazer and see what happens. No issue since.
the third one happened on a Power Wagon with under 1000 miles on the clock. tazer caused the voltage meter showing 15v while engine's running. unmarried and unplugged, no more issue voltage reading normal.

i ended up doing all their tire size changes and tire pressure threshold changes using my alfaobd. no issue at all.

so if you're gonna run tazer and leave it in there full time, just know these could happen. now, with that said, some Tazer enthusiasts will say "mine's running fine" and i've seen many that run fine, and seen many that got issues. just want you to know that there's a potential of the problems, and ultimately you make your own decision.
Any time you install an aftermarket part, doesn't matter what it is, there could be issues. Especially electronics. Thee are people who have bricked their BCM with alfaObd

yes it can happen with alfaobd. just as someone in the industry i haven't seen anyone (including my customers whom I do the tweaks) bricking theirs with alfa and i've been doing this service for over 200 Jeeps and Rams.

You know as well as I do that 200 vehicles is a very small sample size to be making comparison with.

Haha naw I just stick a flashlight in the top when it’s indoors to see if I wanna top it off when I’m doin the other cars. But I was like “that has the makings of a questionable/polarizing yet somewhat believable joke mod for this 4/1.”
Haha so I snapped the pic and waited. 😂😂

Maaaaaan you should have doubled down on this one to see how many people do it.

you know what, it is what it is.
nitpick all you want, whether 200 vehicles is a small sample size or not or if it happens with alfa more than tazer or not, whatever floats your boat and makes you sleep better at night. this is going nowhere. it was a good use to waste company time but now i'm off the clock, whatever makes you happy.

i mean, i get it. you run tazer, so yeah to you it's better than alfa, probably. but oh wells, like i said, it is his decision, those are my findings. he can do what he wants, it is his decision.

Just noticed that I passed 90K miles. Only issue has been cracked exhaust manifolds replaced under warranty around 62K miles and the leather sash which didn't really need to be replaced but they did around 80k

Truck has been solid
The one thing I do miss from my 2020 Limited is the ability to have the engine coolant temperature, battery voltage, oil pressure, and oil level all on the main screen for ease of access. Good for you.

Damn man, I use alfaObd as well. Calm down a little bit. Rough day at work got you worked up?

View attachment 198974Hit 100k on a trip through Colorado and New Mexico last week. Didn’t realize how dusty my truck was until I took this, but that marks 94k trouble free miles I’ve had my truck(aside from smacking skid plates and pinstriping the heck out of my paint).
Sorry man but I'm gonna have to call you out on this....

Snapping a pic while doing 80mph is not cool. Distracted driving is never cool.

But congrats on the mile-eversary! 👍

2025 doesn't have that? wow

Nope. The screens only allow two options, and on my 2020, I had all of that, plus the outside temperature and clock, all at a glance on the main screen. No more!
this is with the full digital gauge???
wow I didn't know that!

Looks good! Is that front bumper portion part of the RCI skid plates or another brand?

Really digging the no fender flare look too. I can tell during winter how much debris and crap gets in between my stock flares and the fender because of the crappy adhesive placement and lack of a proper seal. Makes me not even want them at all.

Thanks! The skid plate is from @VICE design and is somewhat of a recent release by them. I’ve been really happy with it.

I’m torn on the factory fender flares. I do like the look of them, but have heard several complain about them holding dirt and debris like you mentioned.

Wow, I didn't know that and with the digital dash, I would have thought that you'd have more options
