Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!Added a recovery strap and soft shackles to my "toolkit" I will most likely never need it but you never know.View attachment 198528

I carry (2) 30’ recovery straps and 35’ of 3/8 steel cable with hooks.Added a recovery strap and soft shackles to my "toolkit" I will most likely never need it but you never know.View attachment 198528
doesn t look bad either way, just different. I have the same steps and NEED them, shorty. plus maybe they give a little lower side protection from rocks and stuff.Always go back and forth with the running during the spring here in NJ. So I took them off. Gonna suck for short folks for me![]()

Got to use the soft shackles, I bought last year, for the first time last week during the blizzard we had. Made the recovery so much easier than the steel shackles I have dont think I could have gotten them hrough the recovery point on the SUV I yanked out of ditch.Added a recovery strap and soft shackles to my "toolkit" I will most likely never need it but you never know.View attachment 198528
That looks like a lot of fun!well am supposed to join the boys at Dodge Truck Extreme for some high speed fun in the desert
example of shenanigans:
but 2 difference 80 series LC kicked my *** this week: one was for complete front axle disassembly just for to get the front diff out, the other was for transfer case high low gear upgrade, then swapped friend's fox 2.0 to 2.5 on his JT friday night afterwork on the ground.
ended up getting a call for help and taking the truck to rescue my friend's dead VW GTI. cause of death? dead battery on an one year old car. jumped it right up with my Noco GBX75 whereas his Amazon special cheap temu jumper failed to do the job.
DTX is always a lot of fun, the roasting of mickey mouse brodozers and online salesmen who try to "educate" people (and then calling it "helping people by giving different options") but with nothing but brochure marketing nonfactual information residing in various FB groups are hilarious as well. That looks like a lot of fun!

Yeah I'm contemplating that. I bought the truck used and damage was previously there, but I see it on quite a few I've seen around. I thought it was street paint sprayed up, until I went to clean it up.^ or add some PPF to them once a repair is made if necessary.
