What did you do to your Ram today???

back in September when I was returning from Arctic Ocean I noticed some vibration in the front end when turning. It was very slight and didn't always happen, so I didn't care about it.

In October I went on 2 more camping trips, and thee issue got worse. By November, I was hearing clunking noise when turning going slow speed, and I was also feeling something hitting the footwell/ floor area. I also felt the clunking through the front suspension when coming to a full stop. I put the truck up afterhours and checked everything. Nothing was loose and all the paint marks I made in 2022 were straight. I chalked it up to the sway bar being the culprit: either the end links, or the bushings.
At 38k miles with a 2.5" lift, end links were PROBABLY not the issue here but I'm known to be the person having the worst lucks with end links. My focus was more on the sway bar bushings. I also ruled out CV axle, despite what the forum says, because if it was the axle, I'd hear the noise all the time and not just during certain behaviors.

To test my theory, I took the sway bar off last weekend and drove a week without it. The front end was quiet as a church mouse after the sway bar came off, proving the issue was from the sway bar. I could replace either the end links and the bushings, but I figured why not just do both so I don't have to try my luck.

I put these suspensionmaxx end links on, and some new sway bar bushings. I greased the crap out of the bushings as well, hoping that will help to prolong the bushings' lives.

To be fair, I think the stock end links are fine, but oh wells. I kept those though, just in case these suspension maxx ones don't last through the boogieing.

These are the stock bushings, and seeing how much dirt is trapped inside the bushing contacting the sway bar, I think this is the culprit of my front end noise.

Ah, the Dempster, Dalton, and Alcan dirt.

oh also threw in my last one I got from years ago before I ordered more. Channeling my JDM days.
I have similar symptoms. No vibration but clunking/knocking at slow speeds/ stopped, when turning the wheel.

Had it at the dealer a month ago to replace a leaking oil pan and they forgot to tighten one of the carriage bolts. When I tightened it, I thought that would solve the problem, but it only slightly improved.

Replaced the sway bar links but will likely try the bar and bushings next.

my links felt kind of loose but the boots are intact, so I think they're fine.
i'd start with the bushings first, especially if you go off pavement a lot.

Towed it to the dealer on Friday. Was driving and all sorts of alerts started popping up, tpms, shifter something, check engine light,... pulled over, stopped it, and could't get it restarted, key fob stopped working, truck was unresponsive. checked truck and fob battery, all good, guessing the RF Hub from what I have read, didn't see any window leak though. I did check it again on Saturday at the dealer, and it started, but still had warning lights

Only have had it 7 days (<200 miles), what a bunmmer.

Waiting on dealer to get it looked at.

Just did my front sway bar bushing replacement today to the energy suspension bushings. Was hearing clunks when turning into certain roads. Will see if this resolves it. Bushings only had 48,000 miles but I am on a 6 in lift and may be stress on them. If not, I have new end links and can replace those.

hopefully just a battery issue.

inside look a lot cleaner.
is there any significant wear marks on the sway bar?

Not sure. I didn’t really look when I was replacing them.
The bushings looks cleaned like you said but did notice they seemed to be thin on the bottom end. I haven’t driven the truck yet to see if it resolved the issue.

Got an alignment to correct the one done at the local tire shop when i put the snows on. This time, I went to a shop that works only on lifted and heavy duty trucks. What a difference.

My numbers before and after show, most tire shops suck with anything NOT stock.

And most even suck at stock suspension alignments.

I changed oil on my '19 Limited for the very first time since I bought it earlier this year and I have to say that in all my years (53) of changing my own oil this will be the last time I change oil on this truck myself. What a STUPID location for the drain plug and an even stupider place for the filter. Wow, I couldn't believe where they put that oil filter! If there ever was a vehicle that needed a remote oil filter.......we have a winner. I was able to drain the oil without making a mess with a makeshift trough but the oil filter, as hard as I tried, was a disaster. I'll look into remote filter kits before the next oil change or just take to the dealer next time.

I like my pacbrake oil filter relocation kit I also use a valvomax oil drain valve. It works well on ramps not so much jacked up. I think a fumoto would be better anyways.

How do you like them so far? I think that will be the tire I choose when time comes
Compared to my old KO2's, they're a lot louder.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried what they'll sound like when they begin to wear.
These are also a half inch taller than the KO2's so I have minor rubbing going up the driveway and entering parking lots.
I may be going up to the mountains this Christmas, so I'll really get to put them to the test in the snow.

Just noticed i don't see any body's signatures. Was this due to an update or did i somehow changed my setttings somehow

Just drove today and it seemed to have solved the clunk. Will give it a few more days of driving to be sure.
same. i took mine for a lap the other day and it seemed like it solved the problem.
Will need to send it in the desert this weekend before going to Vegas to join the Dodge Truck Extreme Get Together next weekend.
