What did you do to your Ram today???

Didn't even know what this was and had to go look it up. Pretty neat idea. Can't imagine living in a place it is necessary.

Are you saying you can't imagine living in an area where a real a vehicle security system is necessary (as opposed to the factory alarm that can be defeated easily)?

Yeah, I was on the fence about it until I started researching how often 5th Gen Rams get stolen and how easy it is for thieves to disable the horn. See this video of thieves disabling the horn so you can't hear the factory alarm when it goes off.

My area of town is pretty nice, but 2 or 3 times in the 15 years we've been here, our neighbors have had incidents where people were sopping around their vehicles at night. I have to park my truck in the driveway since it won't fit in my garage. This is the most expensive vehilcle I've ever had so I wanted a little extra piece of mind knowing that my ride will always be there in the morning.

Liking the new stance with the KO2s. Part of me thinks I should’ve gone 275/60 instead of 285/55 but probably just typical second-guessing of an expensive purchase. With the poke of these wheels, the 285s do look rather wide though.

Looks good. I’ve got the same wheels and offset (+1, but close enough), but in 18”.

Funny, when I got my Yokohamas, I wished I had gone 305 instead of 295 wide.

That is, until I bought a matching wheel and tire for the spare, and only barely fit it under the bed with the help of a friend and angle grinder. Then I was glad I didn’t go any bigger!

You definitely don't need to live in a bad neighborhood to get stuff stolen. That said, I will always park in my garage after getting broken into twice when I didn't.

I know it won't stop them, but someone needs to make a shield for the horn wires.

Unfortunately, I bought my house before I bought the truck. It;s kind of like buying a house to fit a sectional - I need to buy my next house to fit my truck lol.

Damn! they got that truck fast......

Leveled it out with 2” spacers. I did the install in my garage. Took just over an hour and half. Thank goodness for YouTube. Watched how to do it ahead of time and had all the tools I needed before I got started. I have 1” rear spacers coming this weekend, to get a little rake back. I’m loving the look. That's exactly what I did! The garage we had in Arizona was so small, my Nissan Frontier only had 6" of clearance, front and rear. We lived in that house for 10 years and I promised myself that I would never buy a house that couldn't accommodate a full-sized truck, even though I didn't own one. When we moved back to Idaho, we needed a temporary home but I couldn't find anything with my minimum garage specs. We ended up building a home in a new development, because they allowed me to stretch the garage. It was narrow (maybe 18' wide), but that sucker was 26' long.

Got her winter ready today. Stripped off all the paraphernalia from the roof to make snow removal easier.

The nav in motion setting only works for the factory nav. Doesn't apply to apps on your phone and Android auto/car play navigation
But also other settings of the Uconnect work during driving? Or only settings in the navigation?
And what about cameras, do they still go off after a few seconds while driving?

Yes, the cameras go off after a few while driving. You also can't pair a phone while driving.

Spent some money. A level, black lug nuts, rear wheel liners, and new tires. The kid in me won out over the responsible adult. Decided to go with the Yokohama m/t's, in 35x11.5. They came out cheaper and a touch narrower than a 295/65, and should be a good fit. 5% off and free shipping from Discount Tire was nice too. Shoutout to @Louhound88 for the inspiration. His truck jumped out at me as the way to go.

Might be a week or two before everything gets done, but I'll post the update when it is.

Should look awesome! I am looking to do the same thing on my truck. Level with 35's. What level are you going with and do you have aftermarket wheels?

Are you sure the 35's or 295/65's will fit with a 2 inch level? That's the only reason I havent pulled the trigger yet.

If you don't mind sharing, how much did the rental run you? My wife thinks she wants to get a TT, but she has always hated camping. I think if we can get a few weekends in with a TT, I can get a better feel for whether or not I'd be wasting my $$

I used RVShare, and it was about $100/night. Honestly we’ve been thinking of getting one too, but the initial cost of about $30k, then storage, insurance, registration and any other costs-I might just end up renting every time.

Rvshare.com. friends just did 3 days 2 nights around $600 for an R-Pod. But that price also included delivery, set up / take down and a generator. They had a good experience.

Yeah that’s super-expensive based on what I paid/did. But it’s cool that they could get one that did all the work for them.

Responded on your other thread, but for anyone following: 2.5 motofab, factory night edition wheels. I'm not positive either would fit with a 2 inch for sure. They should but I don't know for certain. Hopefully others with experience will chime in.

New wheels and tires today on my 21 Longhorn! Michelin Defenders paired with Drag DR78s. Love the look but definitely think she needs a level or lower now.

Don’t hate the stock wheel.

And yes the tips look funky. Has to be the camera playing tricks.
