Haven't tried with windshield tint but was able to get insurance to cover the tint on a side window on a previous car after it was shatter in a smash and grab theft. They stole our kids diaper bag, probably thinking it was a purse as my, now ex, wife was using a large designer bag for diaper bag.Reimbursement for window tint? What is the magic you speak of?!
I'm having to pay for kind to get retinted on Tuesday!

I'd look into a at home rust proofing kit with a wand to run up in there.Success… beers.
I really like the wrinkle finish.
We’ll see how long it lasts. But these showed up in great shape, and seem very well made. Easy install. Buggiest pain was getting the paint off the factory studs. But 6 brackets. 18 nylock nuts, 12 bolts. Pretty simple and I like the look. Not bad for 2-hundo!

Found them on Ebay. I take it those are the Matte Black ones you added that are 6.5" wide x 3.2" tall? Look good and I want to add them to my truck. We have the same color scheme. So it’s crappy out today so it’s mini-mod day in the garage… first I did the +300HP mod. (Did it the no tools way and it took maybe 30 seconds.)
Then the ‘Merica mod:
The camera makes that stand out way more than it really does. I like that it’s subtle.
Next up is the locator pins and lock knobs for the bed extender.

Ok erybady with ram boxes and a bed divider, with OR without the MFT, the threaded holes are still there in the 22’s, just plugged with plastic push pins. (driver's side shown)
So to get em out all I needed was these:
A couple broke but who cares, I’m not putting them back in. Once they’re started out, you can actually “unscrew” them since they’re crooked in the threaded holes at this point. Which is way easier than continuing to pry or dig them out. The pins/knobs I got were from the Amazons and fit perfectly, and take a Torx T50 bit, but since these holes are open and the knobs no longer factory installed, the threads are full of paint. So I used my Dremel with a small wire brush to clean them out but you still need to slowly coax the bolts into them, then they spin freely at one point for the rest of the way in.
I just kept putting them in a bit and backing them out. I also used my impact gun on LOW (of three speeds) so as not to jank the captured nuts out of place. Got em in pretty snug and they don’t need to be super tight for what they are anyway.
Donezo, beers.

GMRS radio was delivered yesterday so I got it installed. I have to say it's one of my cleaner radio installs. My Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk had a CB mounted to the dash. My wife wasn't a fan. This one is well hidden. Have a stubby 3db gain antenna with a longer 6db gain one on the way. Was talking to a buddy 3.65 miles away on his base station with plenty of trees in between. Not bad.

even better!!!!Oh on the steps themselves? They’re aluminum so it’s Not necessary. I’m just not anticipating the powder coating to last since it never does up here.

What a damn beautiful truck!Today I picked the Blue Beast up after having it tinted, Ceramic Coated and PPF the front end, mirrors, door handles and door sills.
Then I topped it all off by installing my Patriot Blue bumper plugs from @Acogs91
I also picked up some new 3M tape to re-install my AVS Vent Shades.
I know what you mean about missing your truck. I really miss my 15’ 3500 Laramie with the Cummins 6.7. But alas, things change for a bunch of reasons. Not sorry I bought my 1500 Limited, but miss my beast. What a damn beautiful truck!
I do admit, I really miss my 04 Laramie. What a pain to keep clean, but such a beautiful shade of blue.
First new vehicle I ever bought, sticker was $47K, paid 27K and some change for it, thanks to my step-daughter's boss and the hookup at the dealership.
What a different time that was back then... Wish I never sold it, but oh well...is what it is.
