What’s in your RamBox?

I live in “sportsman’s paradise”, freshwater fishing gear , saltwater fishing gear, shotguns, rifles, handguns, compound bow, you name I’ve probably gone one. I take a .40 on the boat when I go fishing.

How about a stick of dynomite? :D

As a Canadian, I have never needed, nor wanted, a firearm. It's funny how different our cultures are around that. My thoughts are that if no one has guns, no one needs guns (except police, etc.)

Great mindset if it was reality. Good people follow the law but criminals dont and will always be able to get their hands on firearms. Canada has had a few mass shootings lately just like the USA and your laws are way more strict then ours on firearms. I will always have a firearm to protect my family and myself.

Lol I think a bullet could make contact with you and stop you with your bat prior to you even getting close to the threat/criminal.

lol funny guy
Truth be told, in my parts, those who get shot by guns are 99% of the time the ones also carrying guns, or living a lifestyle that necessitates guns (drugs, gangs, etc.) Most shootings in my Province are targeted, gang related.

I typically see 4-5 gators when I go fishing, there been people who we robbed at boat launches. If that dictates a lifestyle that requires firearms so be it.

Sure. I need to clean some stuff out of there anyway so Ill snap a few pics this evening and show how it all fits together.
Any chance you can show us how you've got yours set up?

That's exactly why I opted to skip the rambox. I don't think I would have carried anything in it. I don't even have anything in the storage bins inside of the truck.

I would love to see what you put together. Any chance you could post any pics or other details? I've felt the RB holster was a cool idea but seems expensive and a but kludgy after reading the installation instructions.

Well, I admittedly dropped the ball on this. Sorry about that. I was dealing with some stuff and while I was at it I ended up selling my truck in anticipation that my ordered Rebel would be ready soon. Looks like I may have jumped out of my old truck a little early...It's on Week 13 and still in D Status.

No worries. Can you describe what you had done to give me some idea?

Sure. I had a guy I work with that makes his own Kydex holsters make kind of like a composite 2X10 plate that I fastened to the base of the upper flat portion of the box floor, that had cabinet style locks on access panels/hatches that opened into the deeper parts for ammo storage etc.. The entire face of the plate was then covered in MOLLE/PALS connectors so that I could lace elastic ties at different intervals to secure the long guns and the revolver in place. Also, since I had a few flexible gun locks like what come with new pistols laying around, I ended up drilling and fishing them through the underside of the plate in order to provide some measure of security to everything individually. It wasn't the most elegant setup, but it was super functional. It also didn't stick up high like the RamHolster and waste all of that space. I was still able to put some additional gear on top of everything in case I ever needed to.
I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the new ramboxes so I can get to work making the 2019 version! I'm bound and determined to make it prettier this time!
