I have a brand new never installed 2019+ Ram 1500 DT driver side tail light with the blind spot sensors. I got rid of the truck, and the tail light is brand spankin’ new. I’ll post pics below. DM if anybody is interested.

Your best bet is to go online and find out what they sell for brand new. And then offer it for $50-$100 less, maybe more. Nobody will pay you what they sell for if they can just go online and buy a brand new one and it will come with a warranty.

Normally I would agree with you. But with the chip shortage I'm thinking it could be more difficult to get this tail light with the BSM module from a dealership, which would make it worth more than you might think.

I was told it was an $800 tail light from a Ram dealership yesterday after posting, but if someone needs one, I’ll make them a good deal.

I'm seeing a list price of $969 and discounted price of $639 on one website. I'd post it in the Buy and Sell forum here on this site as a start.

I was buying used cars regularly into the mid 2000’s for between $100 and $500. I miss those times.

Just for consideration, I paid $550 w/free shipping from an online Mopar parts supplier late last year. I haven't checked recent pricing, though.

I don't think you can compare prices a year ago with prices now. There weren't the same serious parts shortages at this time last year. And parts were much more readily available than they are now. Prices can and should reflect this. I'm not suggesting he jack his price up, just that comparing 2020 prices to 2021 prices is not how I'd decide on what to ask for something like this. This is a brand new part. Based on what they cost now, I think $550 is a very fair price. I'd probably price it with shipping included though, to make it easier.

Not trying to put a damper on anything. $550 was just the lowest price I could find then and is a good deal now. Just to be sure I checked a couple sites I use that usually have the best prices and it goes for near $700 now. Probably should have done that and put it in my first post...
