Wet carpet - no sunroof

Has anyone else had the wet drivers side carpet that does not have the factory sunroof? I just got my truck this week as a dealer demo. Haven’t driven since I got in. Been stored in garage. While vacuuming I found the drivers side carpet pretty wet. Check the rest of carpet no signs of water. I did pull the sill plate from drivers side and the pad is pretty wet. Starting to smell. A different dealer is going to attempt to look at it tomorrow. From what I’ve read, a seam on fender/firewall may be the leak or under the rear seat and runs forward. Can anyone who had the issue that found a remedy post. And maybe even what dealer you used that corrected the problem so they can assist others. Pictures of service orders even. Thanks in advance.

Dealer found leak this morning. Near the front fender/kick plate/door area. Seam wasn’t sealed.
Any way of sending a picture of what they’ve done so I can check my truck

It’s still at the dealer in service. Drying out pad. I’ll try and take a picture when I pick it up.

Based on the pic, it looks like they ran out sealant part way through the installation and then said WTF...not my problem and moved on.....

DId they weld the seam or is that just caulking?? I hope they just didn’t run a caulking gun on it! Also looks like one of the bolts holding the wire harness is loose?

That is caulk...it is not a welded seam...that yellowish stuff you see from the factory is an automotive sealant. Caulk will work but I would not be happy!

It’s not caulking. It’s not the factory sealant but it is an automotive sealant.

I know it's not out in the open for people to see but a 2 year old could do a better job than that;). Obviously the mechanic doesn't take pride in his work. Hope I am not insulting anyone.
