New account here, but hoping someone who has the 'inside baseball' on Dealership Service departments could weigh in. Long story short:
Leased a new Laramie in 23.
23k Miles currently.
This doesn't seem right to me. If they screwed up the repair and that caused the subsequent problems, I would think it should still be covered. Wanted to get thoughts.
Thanks

- At the beginning of this year, the rear sliding window failed.
- I made an appointment to repair the sliding window and for the time being just manually closed it.
- Apparently water still got in and killed the RF module which killed the fob keys, forced the parking break on, and generally rendered the Truck useless.
- Towed to Dealer #1. They repaired the Window and the module.
- A week or so ago, the window that dealer #1 repaired came off its track again. I forced it shut.
- Within a day, another radio module behind the seat failed. I was stranded at a bridge on ramp on a busy highway and almost got killed (another story).
- The truck stalled with an indicator of "Shift to Park" . I shifted to park , started again, and made it about 20 feet before it stalled again. Rinse and repeat 3x.
- State Trooper said I couldn't wait for AAA, because of how hazardous the location was, which meant I had to tow it to the closest possible dealership (Dealership #2).
- Dealership #2 looked at the truck and said that the Radio Frequency Hub failed.
- Quoted me $1450.0 for the rear window, $608 for the RF Module, and about $300 for diagnostics.
- Dealership #2 refused to cover under warrenty because it was clearly the result of water damage, resulting from a broken rear sliding window.
- I explained that the window had been fixed under warranty already. Dealer #2 doesn't seem to care.
